Education: I graduated at the top of my class from Milan High School (adult education program) 6/6/96; 4 years after I was slated to. I hope to attend college someday, but it just never feels like the right time. Still, I'm not in a rush, and I generally just go at my own pace, so this doesn't worry me. If I go I'm sure it will be fantastic. If for some reason it doesn't happen, I'm fine with that too, as long as I continue on as I am now, and follow what I feel is right for me. If I do go sometime in the near future I'll most likely go to WCC.
Occupation(s): I've been unemployed since September 27, 2008. I worked at my last job for 6 & 1/2 years - which were mostly fantastic, but there was this really horrible corporate takeover kind of deal and my working environment changed overnight from one that I loved to one that I loathed. About 12 of 14 employees left or were fired in this period and it just got really ugly really fast. I was going to use this time to go back to school but some health stuff popped up out of nowhere and put everything on hold. Now that's mostly sorted out I'm left wondering what I'll be doing next. It's complicated by many things and I'm currently in limbo, not really knowing what will happen next, which leaves me feeling vulnerable, which I hate.
Hobbies: I collect fan/slash artwork; I have thousands of pictures in my collection which I would post here if I owned them, but I don't, so I can't.
Favorite Music: I'm obsessed with Bastard Pop/bootlegs/Mash-ups; covers & remixes. But if you're looking for the name of a band here (instead of a preferred style of music), I recommend Catherine Wheel.
Relationship Status: I've got a boyfriend. :)
Why I use the name gothboy: I didn't pay to have gothboy.com - It was a gift from an ex-boyfriend. And I don't use the term BOY to seem younger than I am; it's just what people have always called me, & Gothgirl isn't really fitting; gothguy sounds lame, & gothman sounds like a wacky superhero. I don't "dress goth" all the time & those that do are more often than not, shallow & annoying. However, I have over the years, come to cherish my website and I'll be holding onto gothboy for as long as I can.
Navigating my site: My site was built from scratch, with very little training (I had help for about an hour) and so while my site has a lot of really great content (of which I'm quite proud), I'm aware that navigating my site isn't always as easy as other web sites. I'm always trying to make this easier for everyone, but lucky for me, most people seem to find their way eventually. Good Luck!
