I admit it. I'm a closet Dawson fan. I caught the entire first season when it aired right after the last half of Season 2 of Buffy The Vampire Slayer. When Buffy's 3rd Season rolled around Dawson had moved to a new night & I only caught it every once in awhile, such as when it featured the first serious romantic primetime gay kiss in television history. Jack, the cute gay character wasn't introduced until after I stopped watching on a regular basis, and I'd always been curious what happened with him on the show. Now, through the addiction known as TV Series On DVD I'm finding out exactly what I missed.
For the record, I think that each season has some good episodes; I think Season 1 is ok; I think Season 2 mostly kicks ass; I think Season 3 mostly sucks, before it finally gets better; I think Season 4 got everything back on track in a very good way - and Season 5 continued to be great. I haven't seen Season 6 as the boxed set won't be here until April 4, 2006. The separate release of the series finale is a must have, as it's an extended cut that won't be available in the Season 6 Boxed Set!
