That seems like such a long time ago! I graduated High School in 1996. When did the first one come out? I didn't start reading them until after the first movie came out...time flies.

I graduated in 1996 also. The first Harry Potter book was published here in the US in 09/01/98; it was published in the UK on 06/06/97 - which I knew, because she took 10 years to release the entire series. You & I didn't start reading them until 2001, at which point the first 4 books were available, though the 4th was still in hardcover, which is why I have the hardcover, as I couldn't wait for the paperback once I'd finished the 3rd one. I read the first book before the movie (which I took you too) - the movie disappointed me, but excited you, so you dived into the 2nd book, which I had never finished - then you talked me into finishing the 2nd one, as you promised me I'd love the 3rd one, which I did. Then after the 4th we started the madness that was the waiting, ordering, and reading together of the Harry Potter books. Good memories.
