Bald Jason's Musings

Work was mostly slow. I worked with Kyle & Matt. Thursday will be Kyle's last day with us as he's moving on with school and family responsibilities. After work I shot through the 3rd season of Degrassi: The Next Generation (the only season we carry at Hollywood); I mostly watched it for the gay storylines involving Marco & Dylan. Then I watched the movie Mean Girls, which I'd always been tempted to see; it was mostly good.
I slept in today. I didn't have the car, as Mark was off at work, and just assumed I'd go see Mollie after Mark got home. I decided I'd try to get some of my computer stuff organized. It's such a long process, that I feel will never be completed... blah. But I got a lot done, I guess.
I noticed that Mollie had written a new blog entry, only to find out that she had spent some of her birthday time in the ER!?! I swear that my best friend has the worst luck! Trouble constantly pops up and inflicts damage, pain, and illness on the poor girl! She's ok. She just had a HORRIBLE accident that left blood & vomit in it's wake. ugh. I tried calling her (as did Mark) but we just got her voicemail. I chatted with her online later, and she seemed ready to just write the whole day off, and begin again tomorrow. I hope things pick up for her.
I just watched the new episode of Brothers & Sisters. That show is really getting good. I'm glad I started watching it, and I'll most likely be buying it on DVD next year. Hopefully it can sustain itself, and continue for seasons to come. They cancel shows so quickly now, but I've heard that this show has a full first season now, which is good to hear. Sally Field, Calista Flockhart, Balthazar Getty, & Rachel Griffiths have all been amazing. I'm warming up to Ron Rifkin & Patricia Wettig, but it's weird seeing them together after ALIAS; Getty was on the final season of ALIAS as well, but his character there was so well concluded, that it doesn't phase me to see him here. The rest of the cast, which I don't recognize is doing excellent work.
You know, I think I watch like all the gay content shows. And while I've heard that such shows are few & far between this season, I'd say that most of them are of a higher quality. I liked the idea of "Queer As Folk", but I just never loved the show itself. But I love "The L Word"; is that strange? lol I also watch Drawn Together, "Doctor Who", "Torchwood", "Desperate Housewives", & "Nip/Tuck". All of which have featured gay/bi content recently. It's nice to be included.
