Bald Jason's Musings

Mollie is apparently ok. She sent us all an e-mail Sunday night. This is good news, if it's true. She says she & her brother are looking for a new apartment, and that they won't be living in 'that house'. I hope she's really ok.
I've worked the last two days...and will work today, and the next 3. That's unusual for me.
Last night I saw the pilot for the new Doctor Who spin-off: The Sarah Jane Adventures. It was called "Invasion of the Bane", and it's aimed more at kids, but I still enjoyed it, and it had clear ties to both Doctor Who, and Torchwood. The actual series won't start airing in the UK until later in the year; I hope it's successful.
Torchwood has a been a huge success there, and I also so the final 2 episodes of the first season last night. WOW. The series has been something of a mixed bag, which is understandable for a first season sci-fi show, but these last 2 episodes really hit it out of the park! And it's good knowing that it's been renewed for another season, as I want to see more of this show - and before it's all over I want to know about Jack's missing two years that was mentioned in his first Doctor Who appearance.
Speaking of Doctor Who (as apparently, I do all the time - according to my "Cuz"), the finale of Torchwood is apparently a huge setup for the final 3 episodes of the next season of Doctor Who, as Captain Jack Harkness will return to Doctor Who in those episodes, which will air months before season 2 of Torchwood. I'm very excited about all this.
And last on the Dr. Who front - I got Mark to start watching the show. He'd seen 2 episodes before, at random, but he's watched the first 5 episodes of the new series (season 27), and has enjoyed them. yay!
I had a dream about Jeremy this morning. I dreamt I was hanging out with him and Danny, and they were both insanely happy. We all were. And it was very, very odd. lol I still need to track Jeremy down and see what's going on with him. We were so close for several months and then he just cut me right out, which worries me.
I need to get ready for work.

Last night, before going to bed, I started getting this pain in my neck. I thought I was just extremely tired... only I woke up with the pain much worse. I took some motrin, and put an ice pack on it. I called into work. Work was dead again, so that wasn't a problem, and what little drama that was caused sorted itself out by my conversing with DJ. I've been putting the ice packs on, and taking the motrin, and it seems to be doing far better than this morning. I won't be jumping around just yet though.
Mollie called me yesterday. Told me she was having trouble getting through to us ("all circuits are busy") - but that things were looking up for her & Kenny. They have a new (as in BRAND NEW) apartment in Lawrenceburg, that would have costed upwards of $800.00 here, but only cost them $400.00 there. It's still Hellish there, but at least their place is nice. They have people fumigate every month and change the air filters. They have brand new appliances, and their landlord is the town Sheriff so only nice people are getting in, I guess. Though I hope that doesn't entail discrimination of any kind... But long story shorter - they're doing well. They're first 2 months of rent have been paid, and they are looking for jobs now. That's very, very good news.
Jeremy called me yesterday, and brought me (somewhat) up to date on his life. Things may calm down a bit soon, which would be nice. I miss him. It's weird, because...my feelings for him are so different now. I really feel like we're just friends now. Though we haven't been acting like it the last few months. I think this will all sort itself out.
I talked to Jason, the boy I had a date with a few weeks ago. We've had the worst luck getting in touch since then, but it finally happened. We may hang out again sometime soon. That would be nice, I think. ;-))
And in my ongoing Dr. Who obsession, I've rewatched nearly all of Torchwood, and my opinion of several episodes were raised, while a few others were merely cemented - but over all, I think they had a great first season, and that it will most likely only improve in time - especially with thos upcoming WHO crossovers. ;-0) Mark has finished season 27, and begun season 28. I do believe that when Mark is done catching up, I'll be taking a break from the Doctor, at least the current one. I actually have HUNDREDS of episodes to catch up on, though I'm not in any hurry, really.
I guess the last week has been mostly fabulous.
