Sunday was mostly good. My stomach was a bit upset before work, but I toughed it out and that all went fine. I closed with Pat. I worked with Kim & Alex as well. I got to talk to Pat & Cara about Doctor Who stuff which was fun. I got some groceries after work.

Monday I read a lot. I slept. I played some Spyro 3. I didn't sleep Monday night.

Today. This morning I went to the hospital and had my first procedure done. They took me to a room. Lubricated my nose with this giant Q-Tip, which didn't hurt so much as it was quite obvious to my brain that the instrument of torture wasn't supposed to be back there. Then they shot this supposedly cherry flavored noxious gas in my mouth, which they told me to swallow to numb my throat. Then they fed this tube up my nose and down into my stomach while I drank water (and coughed a bit). The tube is connected to this old school lazer tag looking thing that I have to carry around with me, which will record data to be downloaded tomorrow morning when I have the tube removed. I also have a journal that I have to record what time I lay down, get up, eat or have symptoms, which will be compiled with the data they get off the lazer tag thing; there's a button I press to get the time from the machine. The tube in my throat doesn't hurt, but it's an annoyance. And like the Q-Tip from hell, my body knows it's not supposed to be there. It's not like swallowing a dick at all, which is too bad. lol

I didn't complain about anything while I was at the hospital and I'm trying to laugh about the whole thing. Trying to keep my spirits up. Wish me luck!

I was worried this morning, that today would be one of those rare days where I don't throw up, and spoil the test. I needn't have worried about that. Now that I know that the test will have some data on what's happening to me on a almost regular basis I'm relieved, but I'm also getting this almost...claustrophobic sensation, though I'm sure that's not the right word; I just want this thing out of me. So...again...not like a dick at all. ;-0)

Woke from a nap a bit ago. Getting ready to eat again. Really want this tube gone. I'm going to try to be there at 7am tomorrow so that they can take it out ASAP. Hope this all helps me.

I'm working on some DS9 stuff for Mollie. I'm having some trouble burning some of my discs, which I need to get fixed by Monday, but I can work on Mollie's DS9 discs until then, and I'm working on a guide that shows what order to read those DS9 prequels along with Garak's book. These books rock! ;-0)

Wednesday morning, Mark & I went to the hospital to have the tube removed. There was a nun in the office in blue robes. The removal was quick and ouchless, except for the ripping the tape off my face and neck. I took me a long time to finally get to sleep, and even then I was in and out for most of the day with nearly zero energy.

Wenesday night I got a burst of energy. I showered and shaved. I did the dishes. I cleaned the kitchen counters. I washed my linen and clothing. I went to Whole Foods and bought water. I was going to rent some porn but the store's hours had changed, so that they closed just as I got there. I went to Meijer and bought cleaning supplies; 3 packs of underwear, and a pack of socks. I came home...did more laundry, ate, and cleaned my room a bit.

Mark's doctor thinks he has a pinched nerve in his neck, which would explain a lot of the symptoms that Mark has had recently. I'm taking him in for an MRI on Monday, before my physical. He needs a driver for moral support, but he'll also be sedated as he's claustrophobic and doesn't want to be put inside that tube.

Mark is going to the hospital with me today. I have to be there at 9am. I'm not looking forward to eating their food and then sitting around for 6 or 7 hours. I think I should have Mark drop me off or something, and then he can work a bit, plus I can read my DS9 book.

Speaking of DS9, the often delayed but highly anticipated new DS9 Relaunch book has shipped from Amazon and should be here by Monday! :-0) I'm very excited about this book. Not only is this a continuation of my favorite Star Trek series (which I've been waiting more than 2 years for; it's also likely that this book will explain what happened to Iliana Ghemore; something I've been aching to know more about for nearly 14 years! I hope the payoff is worth it! ;-0)

I'm way tired, but my stomach is upset so I can't lay down. I've printed some more art for my room, but I don't think I have any more energy at the moment. Perhaps I'll read. I don't know.

I've heard rumblings about the new Doctor Who episode that's airing on Saturday...and I'm hoping that these rumors are true. We'll see. Ooh. And Friday night or more likely Saturday afternoon, I'll also get to see the mid-season finale of BSG. Lots of geeky stuff to get me through all this medical bullshit.

Thursday. I didn't get any sleep before going to the hospital with Mark. I've been reading the 2nd Terok Nor book, which is filled with all sorts of surprises for long time DS9 fans. But I'll come back to that later.

So...Mark & I arrived at the hospital, and after several false starts, we found the place we needed to be. I was nervous about having to eat at the hospital, since food and I don't get along, and I have an odd history about eating under circumstances that most people wouldn't have a problem with...but my fears were for nothing. I mean...I toughed it out, and it was fine. I was told I needed to eat these radioactive eggs, and some toast with some water as quickly as I could. I was told I couldn't get any of the food on my clothing or I'd have to change into a gown. I told them I'd try, but I asked for a tub to vomit in if necessary, and they said that if any of the food came up the test would be cancelled, as they needed the food in me to see it...which was odd to hear, as the vomit factor was why I was there... But I did manage to eat all the food (which wasn't as bad as I expected) and I did manage to keep it all inside me, though there was a rough patch, where quite a bit of it tried to fly out of me. lol. They even came and questioned me about it after a series of pictures, because they could see that the food was in my throat. The tests were just over 5 hours long, and I'm glad Mark was with me, because he took care of me, and distracted me and gave me everything I needed to not freak out or just walk out.

After the tests, we went home, and then I drove Mark to work; stopping at Meijer & McDonalds on the way. He worked 2nd shift, so I wouldn't have to pick him up until after 10 or 11pm. I went to Hollywood Video and talked to DJ about the tests, and requested Sunday off so I could get some rest before Monday (which will be a long day for me). DJ was cool about everything.

I went to Video Hut to rent 'movies'. I had talked to Jordan & Michael on the phone at random points in the day, but my phone died and I wasn't able to call them back. I had left Mollie messages too, and was wondering if perhaps I had voicemails that I couldn't listen to which annoyed me.

I read. I slept. I picked up Mark at the proscribed time. I texted with Shawn Foreman; apparently he & Jonathan might be coming to Ann Arbor next month, 'just for the Hell of it', and we're hoping that if the visit does happen that I'll be able to chill with them for a bit. That sounds nice. But I'm not holding my breath. ;-0)

Mark fixed my Nero so I could burn some discs for my friends. I slept and read some more. Love the DS9 Prequels!!!

Friday, I went to work, and all was good, though my stomach was a bit upset towards the end of my shift. DJ, Michael & I discussed BSG. This was the first I'd seen of Michael since before his wedding. I also worked with Amanda & Laura, and Bill. After work I went to Kroger, as Mark needed me to pick up something for him; I also bought some groceries for myself. I came home...and found the NEW DS9 RELAUNCH book on my doorstep!!!

I started reading it as soon as I got inside. The book is interesting for many reasons, but it's unlike any Trek book I've ever read in that it's split into 2 sides. You read the first side until the half way point, and then you flip it over, and read the other side. I've finished the first half, which is the actual continuation of the last released DS9 book, and it pays off a lot of things that have been set up previously, both in the DS9 prequels, the episodes of the series, and the Relaunch titles. This section which is a mere 137 pages had plenty to say about Kira, "Second Skin", the Mirror Universe, Sisco, and most of the other characters as well. The other 'side' to the book, which I'll start reading shortly, is this history of Iliana Ghemore, which is something I've wanted to learn about for years and years! So while some might be disappointed by this short entry in the series (and I admit I want more RIGHT NOW) - I'm finding it a very satisfying experience. :-0)

I also wanted to write about an erotic Doctor Who dream I had yesterday! lol. I had just watched this gay German short film called "4 Minutes", in which these two guys are talking about how this girl that one of them is dating, and the other one used to date has told her current boyfriend that the former was a better kisser, and the former boyfriend tells his upset friend that she's merely telling the truth. The current boyfriend says that he's the better kisser and to prove it he kisses the other guy...a very long hot kiss. Well, I watched the film again later when I showed it to Mark, and then I went to sleep. I dreamt a lot of weird stuff, but inside the dream I found a short Who episode in which the 9th & 10th Doctors were compared by Rose Tyler who said that the 9th was a better kisser, and the 10th disagreed. It was the movie only with the 9th & 10th Doctors! So 10 tells 9 that he can prove he's the best and kisses 9, only 9 is obviously the best, to which a clearly aroused 10 backs off and admits that 9 is the winner. I woke up convinced it was a real episode! lol. It was disappointing to learn the truth, but it still makes me smile. :-0)

New Who episode on in less that 24 hours (hopefully), and I'm gonna see if the new BSG is online yet.

Saturday. I was late picking up my dad, but everything turned out alright, as he thought I was early. We went to visit Janice and the kids in Curtis Park, then wen to Little Caesars on the way to our house. We ate, watched The Storyteller and the "Beware The Creeper" animated Batman episode. I helped Jordan with a cd, and gave Janice this candy she used to eat all the time when we were kids. It was a nice visit.

Later, we drove my dad out to Abe's, then went to Michael's to return the AC unit he lent us in our time of need. THANK YOU Michael ;-0) Chris was there and I said hello to him, and we all chatted a bit. Then we followed Michael to his grocery store job as he'd noticed that they carry this bottled water that we love. We stopped at Borders for a bit then came home and started downloading the new Doctor Who while we watched Battlestar Galactica, which was an interesting stopping point for the series - then we watched Doctor Who, which I fell asleep during, as I had a bit of a headache, and I thought the episode was kind of lame. I'll rewatch it later, as apparently I missed some important references, and perhaps I'll like it better the 2nd time around. Next week's episode looks awesome though, and all 3 episodes taht have yet to air sound extra cool.
