I rewatched yesterday's Doctor Who episode early this morning, and I enjoyed it a lot more the 2nd time around. It's nowhere near my favorite episode, but it's above average in many respects. David Tennant's performance is off the charts. There is a wonderful creepy factor to the story. There are fun references and a lovely cameo. And I don't think I've ever felt so afraid for the Doctor.

I slept very well today. Thankfully.

I finished the new DS9 book. Oh. My. Goddess. Fantastic. So many amazing things in such a short book. The first section of the book, is all about continuing where the last volume (which came out a couple years ago) left off. It was great to see my characters again, with a wonderful cameo by Garak that almost had me in tears; happy tears. There were also some brilliant theories about DS9's Mirror Universe story that made me rexamine them in a new light, and a few brilliant crossovers with Terok Nor Prequel Trilogy! And though there was a cliffhanger ending, I think I might know what's coming, and if I'm right...I'm way cool with it. The 2nd half of the book explains the history of Iliana Ghemor, who's character was described in the series, and has returned in the books, but without explanation, until now. And the answers were worth the wait. Her history dovetailed nicely with the Terok Nor books, while connecting some of my favorite episodes, and then using them to make her charcter even more complex than I had imagined she was!!! And the revelations about Gul Dukat were stunning; dark & brutal; adding even more layers to a charcter that was already extremely complex and rich. And all of this was accomplished in a rather scant number of pages. I'm extremely happy with this volume, and I can't wait for the next one. I'm hoping it will arrive next year. :-0)

Tonight sucks. I've been puking for 5 hours. Ick. It hasn't been this bad in a couple weeks. My throat hurts. I'm tired. And I have to take Mark to the hospital in under 4 hours. I think I might cancel my physical, which is scheduled for 2:30pm. We'll see.

I cancelled my physical. My throat is ripped raw. I took Mark to get his MRI. Then I mailed Mollie some discs, and took Mark to McDonalds, where I got nothing, as I can't even keep my pills down, so I'm kind of screwed for now...and really don't want to throw up anymore. I'm gonna try to sleep.

Can't go to bed. Mark's arm is doing something funky; they missed his vein and there could be issues; so we have to go to the ER. I'm so fucking tired. And my throat is killing me.

I got to sleep for awhile. Later I had a shake, with some vitamin c, and watched some fantastic DS9 episodes with Mark; episodes that strongly tied into the new DS9 novel. Lots of fun. Except that at the end, Mark was going on about how Kira is a unreformed terrorist and that she deserved to die. I agree, that Kira isn't perfect, but neither are the Cardassians, and to take one side over the other, and based on 2 episodes is extremely simplistic...

I burned a dvd for Wendy, but when I tried to burn the 2nd one it failed, twice. This bums me out. I've lost at least 14 discs to errors recently, and I'm pretty sure it's not because of the discs (which are expensive). :-0( I'd like to mail these to her later today, but if I can't get this one burnt then there's no point. I could probably fit another episode on there, and mail it to her next week... Erg.

I don't know if my throat is feeling slightly better, or if I'm just getting used to the pain.

My 'cold' might just be allergies. My throat feels 90% better, and apart from some watery eyes, and slight tickle in my throat I feel fine.

Someone posted 2 of the 1st Doctor serials that I don't have, which I'm downloading now. This will leave only 2 of the complete Doctor Who Serials that I won't have copies of; both of them 1st Doctor Stories. I'm very excited about the next 3 episodes of New Who, as they sound fantastic. I'm considering going back and watching the old serials that feature Davros, the creator of the Daleks, as he's coming back very very soon. Davros appears in:

Genesis of the Daleks [1975] 392-398
Destiny of the Daleks [1979] 507-510
Resurrection of the Daleks [1984] 624-625
Revelation of the Daleks [1985] 649-650
Remembrance of the Daleks [1988] 679-682

Thursday was much the same as Wednesday. Friday I worked with DJ, Bryan, Kim, Bill, Laura & Amanda. The district manager (Dennis), the regional manager (Gary), and another district manager in training (Tim) were all at the store for quite awhile. It's never fantastic having the higherups around; but it didn't bother me as much this time, and actually, Tim made a point of complimenting me on trading my movie knowledge with customers, which was nice. He overheard me talking to a customer about a movie they were renting, and what other movies the stars were in - it was a cool thing for a manager to overhear, because the customer reacted somewhat negatively to something I said, and I used my info to turn it around on her, and make it positive. It doesn't always go that way, but that pretty much ensured my good day at work, despite have a slight stomach problem after I ate.

I rewatched Harry Potter 5. Great movie. Fantastic book. I'm aching to re-read the series, and I might do so after I finish the DS9 book I'm reading now. I'd also like to get to the next New Frontier book soon. These DS9 books are great, but I like to mix it up a bit.

New Doctor Who today. I'm so psyched about it, but a little sad, as in just 2 weeks time the season (not including the Christmas Special), will have ended - and there won't be another season of this length until at least 2010. Still, what we've been getting has been pretty fabulous. Tonight's episode is supposed to be a HUGE Donna episode, plus Rose is finally back, so I expect I'll enjoy it quite a lot. :-0)

Michael is coming over later today to get his computer, but I don't think we'll have time to hang out, as he's got a busy day planned. He left me a message about maybe hanging out later in the week, which would be nice.

I'm anxious to get my test results back on Monday. I work on Sunday, Tuesday & Friday.

I need to call Jordan. He wants to hang out soon too. Maybe tonight? Not sure.

I slept after getting home last night, which was what I needed, but I woke up with a horrible headache; very intense pain. Thankfully, my midrin kicked it good. I still might take a long hot shower though, as those always seem to make me feel better.

I've been extra worried about Mollie lately, as I haven't been hearing from her, and she's almost constantly in my thoughts. I got a text message from her last night though, which says she's just depressed about her situation, and who can blame her really? I wish there was more that I could do for her. I'd beg her to come live with us if I thought that she would. But she's got her mother to worrry about. And her brother. We'd have room for Mollie, but I don't think we have room for Kenny. I wish we did, because I think if we could take them both in, there might be some small chance that I could get them to move back home now. Mollie would get a great job here in no time, and we'd both enjoy her wonderful laughter, which I'm guessing isn't filling up her life at the moment.

I watched Mr. & Mrs. Smith this morning. I've rented it a couple times, but this is the first time I've actually taken the time to see it. It was ok. Nothing special really, but it wasn't bad. There was a reference to one girl's girlfriend, so I'll add it to my shelf of movies someday. It made me laugh a couple of times. But I started getting tired again about 3 quarters of the way through the movie and went back to sleep when it was over; probably around 8 or 9am. I'm guessing, because I didn't really look at the clock before I closed my eyes.

I had strange but enjoyable dreams.

I woke up at about 4pm.

No one had posted the new Who, but I checked, and it had definitely aired. I used to make cds for my friends, and I'm sure lots of people did/do. But I've kept copies of almost all the cds I've made for people, on my computer, and I've been listening to all the cds I've made for people over the years latley. A few weeks ago it was Mollie, then Amber & Laurie & Maggie. Those Maggie cds were awesome; now I wonder why I bothered? Now it's Shawn's turn. Loving these tunes. And this 1st cd was the first cd I ever burned.

So while I've been listening to that, and trying desperately to not read the synopsis of the new Who episode, as I've seen that it's already been posted, as have reviews, - my stomach has been upset. I've distracted myself with the music, and checking for that episode, which someone is in the process of posting, thank Joss. My stomach actually feels 80% better than when I woke up, so that's cool. When it's completely calm, I'll give Jordan a call.

I wonder if Michael came to get his computer while I was asleep? Or maybe he's coming after he gets off work? I don't know.
