Bald Jason's Musings

I mostly chatted and slept on Saturday. I watched two episode of Ally. The day of working on the bathroom has stretched into at least 2 days. They ran into problems.
I'm trying to drink this Chardonnay I bought last week. I thought it was foul then, and it still is. lol.
I have to pick up my nephew at 11:30am in Milan. Blah. I mean...I'm looking forward to seeing him. It's only Milan that's blah.
So I'm reading Xanth, and had considered starting from the 4th book in the series, 'Centaur Aisle', as I'm interested in that one, and I've read the first 2 and parts of the 3rd. But I was getting confused by some things in the 4th and I think I should start from the beginning and get the whole series read. I've read 6 other volumes in the massive series, but I read most of those decades ago. Hopefully I can get into these. I remember reading the first 1 was slow going, but that when I was finished with it I thought it was good. I barely remember the 2nd one. The 3rd one annoyed me for some reason. But the 4th was enjoyable (what I read of it). And I love at least 1 later volume (#14: Question Quest), while I know I enjoyed several others.
I should probably try to get some sleep if I can so I'll be awake for Jordan's visit.

I didn't get much sleep Sunday morning. I arrived at the church to pick up Jordan at 11:30am, as instructed, but hardly any cars were there. Janice called me just as I had pulled in asking where I was. When I told her, she said they got out a little after 11am, and that they were now at Kentucky Fried Chicken in Milan. I went there, and sat with Janice, Justin, Jillian, Jonthan and Jordan until they were finished, then took Jordan home with me.
Jordan got a nice visit with Mark & I. We got pizza. Rented some gay movies, which Jordan was bored by so we shut those off and just hung out talking and stuff, which was nice. Mark's father joined us and he and Mark started working on the bathroom again.
The day went by quickly but I was getting tired and started feeling like I was coming down with a cold. Mark & I drove Jordan back to the church, hugged him goodbye then headed home. I went to bed when we got home, around 7pm. I woke up around midnight.
I read the news and chatted. This guy Jesse that I've been chatting with, who stopped talking to me for reasons beyond my understanding, started chatting with me again, but continued to annoy me with his 'logic' and I eventually just asked him if we could not be friends. I can't understand people like him, and I just can't be friends with them. They stand in the way of their own progress and I don't have time for it. I felt slightly bad for this, but most of me was happy that I'd cut off a terribly annoying friendship before it dragged me down as it was threatening to do.
I chatted with some old friends. Also chatted with James; a boy I met at Necto, around September. It was fun. Mark & his dad finished up for tonight. The fan works. The register cover is on and is much nicer than the previous one. The room is painted. The bathtub needs to be calked. And the shower curtain needs to be put back up, and then it's mostly done I think. That will be done tomorrow and I can finally shower. My new bluray player / dvd burner will most likely be installed tomorrow too.
Mark invited his parents over tomorrow to hang out. Only I still might be coming down with a cold and I don't really feel like company. I want to sit in my room and read, or sleep. Rest. And I want to take a fraking shower.
Oh. And I also read this review of the BSG webisodes thinking it was safe as it was fan review and there was no way they could have seen the five webisodes that haven't aired yet, only I was wrong, as some site accidentally posted the rest of the series for like 12 hours and these reviewers managed to see it all and the review ruined the entire set for me. So now I'm stuck with no new BSG until the new ones start airing next month. Blah. This is the 2nd cool thing that was spoiled for me. I should just stop looking at online stuff at all...because they don't even warn you about the spoilers. It drives me bonkers.

I slept after the last post...for an hour. And then couldn't get back to sleep. I'm losing it.

Still can't sleep. And I can't shake my headache from last night. But I don't want to take any more Midrin, because after a certain point, it's pointless. And I haven't been able to shower in days now. And my stomach was feeling really really blah, but I think that's cleared up now, which is the sole highlight of my day.
Mark is working on the bathroom some more. Hopefully by tonight we'll be able to shower. That would be another nice thing to happen today.
I watched the new installment of BSG: Face of the Enemy (Webisode 6), which I loved. And again, the writer commentary was very cool. I look forward to owning these on dvd someday; probably in late 2009. I think Mollie will enjoy these as well. The next installment will be posted on Wednesday.
Online shopping is fun. I just ordered a new toy, and the soundtrack to season 2 of BSG. I figure I can afford these things with my x-mas money. $20 and some change.
I haven't been reading my book. I start reading it, and then my headache makes me sit it back down.

My head is killing me. And I should get away from the computer. But then I'm just hurting in the dark.

I broke down and watched all the posted 'face of the enemy' webisodes online. Someone fraked up and posted all but webisode 9 on Amazon, and you can find them all on youtube. Now I've seen all but the penultimate installment, and I'm beyond psyched to see the final 10 episodes, plus the webisode I've not seen yet, and all the writer commentaries. :0)

Still awake. I took some more Midrin, but it didn't help. I didn't think it would, but I was desperate.
I read that "Caprica", BSG's prequel series coming in 2010, will have 18 episodes beyond the 2 hour pilot.
I just watched "A Day in the Life" & "Dirty Hands" from BSG's 3rd Season. The first episode is mostly crap, from BSG's weakest season, while the latter episode finally starts bringing the series back into focus, in my opinion.

I tried getting to sleep around 6, but Mark woke me right as I was drifting off (scaring the crap out of me). I finally got to sleep around 7pm. I slept until 11:30pm. I thought this was perfect as the bathroom would be done and I could shower and go to the bar, dance myself into exhaustion, take another shower and crash back into bed. But Mark was still working on the shower...and when I got up my headache worsened and I almost fell over. I figured it just wasn't meant to be, went back to my room and looked online to see if maybe Trevor was on. When I couldn't find him, I laid down, but my head was throbbing so I took 2 midrin and went back to sleep a while later.
What seemed likes minutes later, Mark came into my room. It was about 12:30am; I looked at the clock on my phone. He said that he'd messed the bathroom calking up; that he was giving up. At the time, I was groggy and the midrin had definitely kicked in. I was having a hard time keeping my eyes open, which would have been great, if Mark hadn't been in the room. The light from the hall hurt my head when I did open them, so I got up and closed the door. I knew I couldn't do much for Mark so I tried to get him to come to bed with me; figuring some rest and a cuddle might help him relax, but he said that he couldn't because he was so dirty from working and not showering. Then he said he needed me to drive him to Meijer. I told him I couldn't drive; that I'd just taken some Midrin, and I can't drive when I'm on it. It's like getting your best buddy drunk and then asking him to drive you home. When I said I couldn't drive him, he said he was giving up and that I would have to finish the bathroom, and went to bed. Now...I never wanted the bathroom to be redone in the first place; I was happy with how it was. It does look a lot better now, but I didn't need it to look better, as it served my needs as is. Beyond that, I've never done the kind of work that he's been doing. I have no idea what to do next. And until it's done, we don't get to shower. Hopefully he was just exhausted and bitchy when he said that, because if it's up to me it might never get finished. I have no clue what's going on. That's like me working on a project in the kitchen that blocks the refridgerator, dishwasher and stove, not finishing it, and telling Mark it's all up to him - only it's written in a language that only I understand. It's crazy.
Anyways. I tried not to worry about that, and went back to sleep. I woke up around 3:30am. My headache is still with me, but it doesn't hurt as much as it has. I'm getting used to it being there, which I don't like. I updated a few things on my website.
While I was asleep that last time I dreamt about a scary boy-girl 3some, before waking for a minute and going back to sleep, where I dreamed about running into an old highschool classmate, and us making out and starting to do more before I woke up. What's with all the sex dreams? I think it might be because I've been extra horny lately, and haven't been able to jerk off, cause there's no shower. Blah.

I talked to Mollie on the phone; she's sounding better. We talked about family, friends, surgery, pain, Movie Snape vs. Book Snape, and though we were both drowsy, we enjoyed the conversation.
I watched what in many ways is the episode that marks the beginning of the end of Battlestar Galactica: "Maelstrom". 3 more episodes in season 3, but I'll have the first half of season 4 sometime next week; that's 10 episodes to rewatch in a week before seeing the final pieces of 'Face of the Enemy' and the start of the final 10 episodes, where I'll go back to seeing just 1 episode a week. I had considered timing it so that I could watch the entire season in a day in March, but I don't want any of it to be spoiled for me, so I'm going to download them as they air.
I ate. I emptied the dishwasher, and put the dirty dishes in, though I didn't start the washing cycle as I'll now have more dishes to put in. I emptied the downstairs trash. I'll fill another bag with the pizza boxes from this weekend, plus random bits from my room. I should get that stuff done now.
I'm feeling better today than I have all weekend. I hope it lasts. I have to be ready at 12:30 for Janice to pick me up.

I sorted the trash. I got a dirty dish from Mark's room and started the dish washer; only later I found a plate sitting on the couch, with a napkin. I forgot that Mark watched some tv downstairs yesterday and he leaves his plates over there. Oh well; it's just one plate. Mark had a load of clothes in the washer, so I put that in the dryer, on the low setting, the way he likes it. I started a load of laundry myself. I brushed my teeth, picked up some clutter in my room, and made my bed. I'd go to the store and get Mark the calke he needs, but I have no idea what kind to get and I don't want to wake him as he was so terribly exhausted yesterday - and he'd have to really wake up to tell me all the stuff I'd need to buy. Still; I tried to get some house stuff done to lower his stress levels.
I really need to clip my nails.

I ate again. I'm wondering if my headache was from not eating enough this weekend? I still have a slight headache, but again, not as bad as before. I've not had any candy in over 24 hours. Go me.

I jacked off. Took a bath. Got a call from Janice; she's running late. Mark is taking a bath, then we're going to pick up my dad and meet Janice and her kids at Red Robin. Then Mark will go to Meijer and head home to fix the shower, while the rest of us eat (unless he joins us for that, but he just ate) - then we'll got to Pinball Pete's. That's the plan for the day. I want to watch more BSG tonight; possibly the final 3 episodes of Season 3.
17 days until Season 4.5 begins.

So where did I leave off? Janice called. She was running late and wanted to know if I could pick up Dad. But Mark needed to go to Meijer, so we decided that Mark & I would pick up dad and take him to Red Robin, then Mark could go to Meijer (there's 1 right next to Red Robin) and Janice could drive me, dad & the kids to the arcade. It seemed like the best way. Only we hit this huge pot hole on the way there, and when we arrived at dad's place, we had a flat tire, and my dad wasn't even home!
Things were looking dire. We were stuck where we were. Dad wasn't available. The cost of the tire last time we had a similar problem was about $700.00 (which we can't affored). Janice didn't know how to get where we were and even if she did I couldn't just abandon Mark...and we wanted to see dad who wasn't there. Ugh. I tried very hard to not stress and look on the bright side; just be grateful the tire didn't blow and kill us.
Later my dad walked by and we caught him. He said: "I thought we were meeting on Tuesday." and then we convinced that it was indeed Tuesday; he thought it was still Sunday. So he sat with us, and eventually Subaru roadside assisstance sent a AAA guy who fixed the tire. Turns out the damage was minimal and we had a spare rim, so it wasn't as bad as we were thinking and we were soon on our way to join Janice.
Mark ate with us, as he was hungry by this time. We had fun I think. Janice paid for all of our food; I think because she felt bad that she had been late and we'd gotten that flat tire to pick up dad. Mark left to run his errands, which included going to the Sprint store. My dad broke his phone, and we were seeing about fixing it.
We got to the arcade fairly quickly. Jordan & I played 'House of the Dead III'. Dad, Janice, Jonathan, Jordan & I played air hockey. Dad and I played a game of pool and he was amazing! He kicked my ass twice! I had no idea that my dad could play, so that was a neat revelation. I got to play some other games, including a final bout of DDR.
It was getting late, so we drove dad home, then Janice dropped me off; it was a nice visit. When I got home I was exhausted, but Mark wanted me to go to Meijer with him, so off we went. Mark got the calk he needed, and we went back home. I ate. It was after 6pm. I checked to see if Trevor was online but he didn't seem to be. Mark started working on the bathroom again, and I went to sleep.
I woke up around 1:30am. Read the news. Wrote this.
16 days until Season 4.5 begins.
Less than 24 hours and 2008 will be over.

Yeah. That's my show. :0)
Here's another 4.0 promotional video:
And Season 4.5; the first of the final 10 episodes is just 16 days away; 2 weeks from Friday.
