Bald Jason's Musings

I made it back to Michael's. Slept. Saturday we went to Big Lots, Secretary of State, a gas station (I had a coffee drink and Fun Dip), Burgar King, Target, Forest Hill Cemetery, Nicols Arb, home. A great day. Michael's. Shower. Movies ("Alice in Wonderland" rocked; "Legion" sucked, though it made me giggle a few times). More reading. More sleeping. Finished the next book (Worlds of DS9, Volume 1); started the next (DS9: Prohecy and Change). Saturday was mostly sleep and Trek. Around 5pm I took a muscle relaxant for my jaw and was out for most of the night. I woke up off and on while Michael watched the first 9 episodes of DS9; sad that I missed those. I read a little in the morning then went back to sleep. I had strange, if amusing dreams. Headed home around 10am; stopped at Whole Foods on the way. Talked to Michael on the phone. Said hello to Mark. Had a shake. Replied to e-mail.
Blah. I'm still doped up I think. New Doctor Who and sleep I think.

Watched the new Doctor Who (5x10 Vincent and the Doctor) which was good at some moments and fantastic in others. I'll need to rewatch it to figure out my rating but it's either *** or **** stars. I've said before that I'll be happy if these season just avoids anymore * or ** star episodes (as we had at the start of the season) and this remains true.
I slept. I had terrible nightmares about my father being murdered in a sewer, then learning that he'd previously been a serial killer based on abuse at a hospital in which he would lose the name David and become something more monstrous. It seems silly, but it left me shaken, and the dreams were quite violent.
I found out that Mark's dad's house was destroyed during a tornado 4am sunday morning and we found news footage (featuring what's left of their house) on YouTube:
Spoke to Michael on his way home from work. He's having MAJOR issues with work lately.
I want to go back to Forest Hill / The Arb later this week sometime. It's so beautiful there, it's a shame that I've not gone more often in the 16 years I've been aware of it. I think I just associted it so much with Gene that I've avoided it. I wish Mollie was here to go with me! Carrie & I are talking about going; we could have a group day! lol
So there are 3 more episodes this season of Doctor Who. I think they'll all be good, but I'm not sure. The cracks in time storyline that I find annoying should be wrapped up in these episodes which is a relief, but I'm hearing rumors that Amy Pond won't be leaving the series. Part of me is really annoyed by this as I think she's been in a whole slew of bad / just ok episodes that have hurt her, but she was really good in the last episode so maybe if there are more well written episodes I'll like her more?
It's sounding like that the next 18-episode-only season of Brothers & Sisters will be it's last. Though I enjoy the series, I'm ok with that if it's true. If they continue I'd be fine with that as well, but not all tv shows need to continue and as long as it ends well I'm happy with what we have.
I've not gotten any reading done in the last 24 hours. I should take my meds, possibly have a shake, and read.

I have a headache. My Midrin hasn't helped. It's not HORRIBLE, so maybe it did help? It's just constant and annoying. I'll try the imitrex soon.
I read more of 'Prophecy & Change', but it's an anthology, and for some reason I always have trouble with them; it's always slow going for me with them.
I had quite a breakthrough on my Doctor Who listing, and I believe I'll have the order for the remaining installments of Season 31 (to my way of thinking) after the next episode airs. If I'm right, then Season 31 of the Whoniverse consists of 55 episodes: 29 Sarah Jane episodes, 21 Doctor Who episodes & 5 Torchwood episodes. That seems like a lot of Sarah Jane but the thing to remember is that 2 Sarah Jane episodes are only about 5 minutes longer than a regular Doctor Who episode. Also, The Doctor cameos in 3 of those Sarah Jane episodes and is a major guest star in 3 other episodes. Also, 1 of the Sarah Jane episodes is a mini-episode, as is an episode of Who, but in contrast there are 7 Doctor Who installments that are longer than average episodes. The 5 Torchwood installments are also all longer than average installments, and Torchwood ties into at least 3 Doctor Who episodes.
Season 27 had 15 installments.
Season 28 had 15 as well.
Season 29 had 29 installments.
Season 30 had 39.
Season 31 apparently has 55.Season 32 should have less than that, even if Torchwood manages to come back for a full season (which would be awesome).

I just got done typing up a list of all the New Who installments, including Season 31 and the order in which I suspect they'll take place (something that will be decided based on the next episode of Who, but not confirmed until December 2010) and BAM! Finally! News of TORCHWOOD - SEASON 4 has arrived! And the news couldn't be more cool. 10 Episodes on the network that brings the ADULT series SPARTACUS: BLOOD & SAND!?! AWESOME! I'm so excited for this now. Gwen & Jack will be back.
More news here, here, here, here & here.

Slept from around 7pm - 12am. Shaved and showered. Went to Necto (which was mostly lame). Met Stacey, Andrea & Terrance. The music sucked. I danced for about a half hour. Bobby & Becky were there. Paul was there. Monica & her partner in crime. But in terms of fun it was mostly a bust. Blah.

Just went to Farm Town. They added 10 new levels and I got farm cash for every level that I jumped ahead (I jumped ahead all 10 levels). Nice! :-0)
They've also added a ton of stuff. Mulberry Trees (which must be gifted from friends). You can harvest the silk worms from the trees to make Silk in the new Textile Mill. You can all make Cotton & Wool Textiles (from Sheep & Llamas). You can get a Sewing Mill to make clothing out of that stuff. They added cucumbers (4 day crop), which can be made into pickles at the Food Preserve factory. They've added Green Grapes (1 day crop) which along with Purple Grapes can be made into White Wine, Red Wine & Campagne in the new Winery. You can also get a Wine Cellar that ages the wine you produce at the Winery. Very nice additions. I already have the Textile Plant & Winery. I'll get the other stuff later. Yay!

Got a new Trek book in the male; an anthology based on the 7 deadly sins. I read the LUST story which is set in the Mirror Universe and features the Mirror Versions of Sisko & Janel Tigan (Ezri's older brother from "Prodical Daughter") kissing. Janel is hot for Sisko but Ben isn't into it; he thinks of Janel as his best friend. Janel is murdered because of something stupid that Ben does, yet he later avenges Janel's death. Intendant Kira & Mirror Ezri also figure in the plot, though they don't interact. I was a bit confused by the ending, but that's ok I guess. Slept from around 5pm - 1:30am. Watched the Glee finale (cried). Saw an AWESOME 'trailer' for the new Mortal Kombat movie which is just loads of fantastic! Did the Farm Town thing.
I suspect (but don't know) that this week's Doctor Who will lead into the 2 part finale (making it a 3 parter). This theory is based on the fact that nobody is getting screener copies of the last 3 episodes instead of the usual 2. I'm also starting to suspect that Classic Who villain Omega may appear in the finale, having noticed several Omega symbols throughout the season, though again, I don't know if that's the case and I'm probably completely wrong. If the next episode DOES lead into the finale, then it will be, I suspect, the first part of a 6 part story which involves the final 3 episodes of the season, 2 Sarah Jane episodes (coming this FALL) and the Christmas Special. I suppose it's possible we'll get a mini-episode in there as well, but that's not known or even implied at this point. So...it's looking like Season 31 of the Whoniverse consists of 55 episodes. And it looks like Season 32 will consist of roughly 43 episodes. :-0)

Slept a bit. Had interesting dreams. I realize now I'm beginning to have (or have had for awhile) recurring dreams of hotels that are large indoor cities. This bit had some poor street peeps, one of him was obviously gay, asking me about my sexuality. When I woke I wanted to go back and explore, which was impossible...but I hope I make it back there again some night.
I noticed my mom was ahead of me in Farm Town. The first time anyone's been ahead of me in at least 6 months (and that person wasn't even on my friend list). She'll probably beat me for sure in the end as she's having less and less work and needs things to fill her time...while I often times loathe the game, even while others I really enjoy it. However, I made a bit of a stand and I'm working on the farm today. lol
So here's how I think Season 31 of the Whoniverse goes. The only question in my mind for now (aside from what the titles are of the 5 episodes on this list that I don't know yet) is if the next episode "The Lodger" is Part 1 of a 6 Part finale, or if it's just the episode before the 5 part finale. Again, this is just a guess for now as nothing will really be confirmed until December, but this is my best guess and I think I'm right! lol

Left the condo last evening. Took some pictures in Forest Hill. Went to Rite Aid for Mark. Went to Post Office. Went to Hollywood Video to see if Time was in, but found Michael Eisinger & his boyfriend Chris instead! So good to see them! Then off to the storage unit (only they'd closed) and back home so Mark could get stuff for his folks in Dundee, only that was cancelled for some reason. Talked to my bf on the phone. Did the Farm Town thing. Went to bed around 11pm I think. Had oddly sexy, if completely strange dreams. Woke up around 4:30 with a headache. Had a shake and took some Midrin. Called Michael. The Midrin eventually reduced the pain, but it's still there.
In Doctor Who news the plot description for the finale has been released and it's pretty epic & spoiler filled. Not gonna post it here for those that aren't caught up to what's going on. Really looking forward to these episodes...partly because I think they'll be good, and partly to have this current storyline behind us as I haven't enjoyed it as much as the writers probably hoped. There is a slight possability that the finale will change that and retroactively make previous episodes in the season cooler...but I'm not holding my breath. I'm also hoping (but trying not to) that the finale will reveal the title of the Christmas Special...and that we'll soon have titles to at least the 2nd & 3rd Sarah Jane stories, though we probably won't until later in the summer. The finale airs 2 weeks from Saturday.
There are also rumors that Queen Elizabeth I features in this year's Christmas Special. If true then Season 31 would have a bit of a story arc relating to her starting in "The End of Time, Part I", continuing in "The Beast Below" & concluding in the special. Yet it's far too early to know if any of this will come to pass.

Burned discs for Michael yesterday, while continuing to read 'Prohecy & Change'. Went to bed around 5pm. Woke up at 10pm. Left Michael a message. Was up about an hour and went back to sleep. Got up around 4am. Worked on my webpage. Had my meds and a shake (with Green Tea mixed in, which was SURPRISINGLY YUMMY!).
I want to see Michael tonight. Tomorrow we have Kaitlyn's graduation party. Probably stopping by Mark's parents. The Vegan Party I went to last August (I think it was in August) is happening again tomorrow as well). Maybe I can get Michael to go? Carrie will be there. Cheryl & Daniel will be there. George might be there. Billy will not be there.
That shake was really good.

I just read the funniest talkback session to news of Torchwood's 4th Season. It became this huge argument about RTD's 'Gay Agenda' in his Doctor Who years.
"today I learned that whenever two or more gay and/or bisexual people stand in the same room, it's called an "agenda". I'll have to remember that next time I hang out with my friends. We'll have to get more strictly-straight people to join us so that we can more properly allign ourselves with the "correct" straight/gay ratio."
Funny.
Also, again, and this ALWAYS surprises me, you had the anti-gay peeps screaming the virtues of Spartacus which is packed with COCK and several gay sex scenes. Apparently, as long as there are shots of tits & pussy (plus lots of violence) then the gay agenda is ok. lol

Spoke to Michael. I'm going over to his place sometime today and spending the night. Tomorrow I'll go to Kailyn's with Mark, and then probably go to the Vegan thing on my own; it will be nice to see Carrie. I cleared all this with Michael and he says he won't be upset. :-0)
I just read that the 4th Season Finale to The Sarah Jane Adventuress (which will actually feature in Season 32 of the Whoniverse) will be something rather epic. Very cool. I'd heard previously that those episodes feature Androvax returning. Sounds great. In other Season 32 news, Neil Gaiman has finished another draft of his script which he has revealed will be episode 3 of Season 6 of New Who - it will film in August 2010.

Good night at Michael's. Came home this morning to do laundry but Mark was doing his. Then I got hit in the head with a massive migrain and my stomach went all wonky. Mark went to the graduation party without me and my headache got better (with the help of drugs). Just finished the latest Doctor Who (5x11 The Lodger), which is the 2nd episode in a row that I've enjoyed and would give 4 **** (just like that last one)...I'm not sure, but I think the finale will tie into this episode somehow...and if it does, it may raise the score of this one to a 5. I think Mollie would like this episode, and I suspect she'd have liked the previous one too. Oh. And the trailer for the next one looks pretty awesome...but I'm trying to not get my hopes up...it's just that I think these final 2 episodes might be a game changer for the season!
