My cousin Tim (my geat-aunt's son-in-law) died yesterday. I got the news from Mom on Facebook. He was at UofM Hospital, which is just up the road from our condo so Mark & I went up there and hugged some relatives. We went and got some food and then headed to Milan to hug more relatives; hugs are important. I also learned that a family friend who was always extremely supportive and loving towards me died 2 weeks ago and nobody thought to tell me.

Later I dropped off Mark and visited Matt for about an hour. I talked to Michael on the phone. And finished watching The Sarah Jane Adventues...and that was my Saturday. I was up later than usual.

Sarah Jane's 4th Season continues the solid run of the series, though I've read rave reviews that don't seem justified. There were 3 stories I enjoyed a lot ("The Vault of Secrets", "Death of the Doctor" & "The Empty Planet"), 1 story I didn't like much at all ("The Nightmare Man") though I didn't think it was terrible, and 2 stories ("Lost in Time" & "Goodbye, Sarah Jane Smith") that were just ok IMO, including the finale, which is the 2nd finale in a row to be kind of lame IMO, though this was a huge improvement over the last one, which I strongly disliked. I'm pretty sure I know how Season 32 of the Whoniverse (from my perspective) ends now and how Season 33 begins. I'm getting excited for next season and I've still got the Christmas Special to look forward to.

I took some Midrin earlier (I'm gonna miss this stuff) and it killed my headache. I took a nap. Carrie invited Mark & I over to play cards. Mark & I showered and ate. We're gonna leave soon. A side effect of the Midrin (and this may just be because of my gastro paresis) is that sometimes, when I eat, I get a 2nd kick of the drug and I get spacey - in a happy stoned kind of way. And that's what I'm feeling right now. :) Actually, it's a bit overwhelming at the moment, but I know it will pass soon enough.

New Caprica & Glee this week; looking forward to that.

Oh. And I talked to Mollie on Saturday which was FANTASTIC. It really helped sort out some of the strangeness I was feeling about my ex-bf dating my ex-gf - both of whom I LOVE and want to be happy. Things change and I just have to go with it. I hope we'll all be very happy.

Made it to Carrie's last night. Had fun talking with her and her friends. Played Apples To Apples (I won!). It was unseasonably warm out. Stopped at Kroger on the way home. Went to bed soon after. Had a series of strange dreams. Matt was featured, as was my family's old barn. Strange. Woke up and looked up the times for the new Harry Potter movie (Mark & I are planning on seeing it today); the first show is at 11am. I had a shake.

I believe I now know the first 23 installments of Season 32 of the Whoniverse. They may be the only episodes. What I don't know is if the upcoming Christmas Special ("A Christmas Carol") which is said to concern Amy & Rory's honeymoon, will take place before or after the Sarah Jane Adventures story "Death of the Doctor". If it takes place before that story then the Christmas Special and possibly the 2 parter itself will be part of Season 32. But if it takes place after, then the SJA episodes will be the first episodes of Season 33. We'll see, 1 month from Thursday. For now I'm just guessing that it takes place after and including it as part of Season 33...like so:

Mark & I saw Harry Potter & the Deathly Hallows, Part I. We both enjoyed it; I wept during most of the movie. I thought (like the 5th movie) this one did a good job of introducing a lot of plot elements skipped in previous installments. The one thing I didn't like...or at least didn't understand is the shard of mirror that Harry keeps with him. In the books it's part of a mirror that Sirius gave him but in the movies that event never happened and they don't explain it here; hopefully it comes up in the final film, and if so then this will be my favorite movie of the series to this point.

Here's how I'd rate the movies best to worst:

'Azkaban' is a good movie but a weak link in the chain of films as it's HORRIBLE adaptation. It the best of the first 3 films if you've not read the books but they cut out everything that's good about the story and add all kinds of things that are just sort of pointless.

I got to talk to Mollie about 'Deathly Hallows: Part I' on Monday and we both agreed it was fantastic with the exception of the unexplained mirror shard...Mollie says she'll be able to forgive this continuity error if it's not explained in Part II, while I know I'll be annoyed beyond the telling of it if this isn't explained in Part II. Beyond that - it's fantastic.

Matt called me on Tuesday to let me know it's not working out with us. I wasn't invested in a relationship with him so I'm not hurt by this at all...yet I find it slightly confusing as I thought we were just being kind of casual and seeing what happened...and I guess I just hadn't gotten to a point where I was set to call it one way or the other. I'm sure we'll be friends.

Watched Glee last night with Mark. Good episode. I cried. Very uneven, like much of Glee, but what was good was very good and what was lame...was very lame. I might like it better the 2nd time around.

Went to get a whooping cough vaccination but it was $53 so I'm gonna make an appointment with the health department instead which will cost $15 - maybe even less. Got some water from the store.

Watched the new Caprica (1x17 "Here Be Dragons") which was FANTASTIC! OMG. So much stuff happened and HUGE things now need to be explained, which probably won't be explained any time soon! There were some serious BSG connections made and...at least 1 thing happend that "Blood & Chrome" is gonna have to explain if the finale (the only episode left) doesn't. UGH. I want it now!

I'm on the phone with Michael now. I have to go though, I'm gonna go meet Eric for awhile.
