The chronology that follows reflects my own, personal beliefs of the order in which the Hercules/Xena Chronicles are meant to be viewed. Some episodes of each serieshave been rearranged in a fashion that seems to enrich the stories & strengthen the continuity; at least to my way of thinking.

Interrestingly there are 3 Hercules episodes & 3 Xena episodes that are set after the television series' offical endings (not including Xena's "God Fearing Child" as a post Herc episode); these episodes, while obviously not the final televised episodes, are in fact the final chronological episodes.

While all the series did an amazing job of wrapping up their stories & keeping the continutiy intact, there remain certain unanswered questions, which may or may not be answered in future series, miniseries, or films. Such as how Strife, who was apparently killed by Callisto in Armaggedon Now could appear alive & well in the two present day episodes of Hercules? Or how Alcmene, who joined Zeuss on Mount Olympus in the animated movie, returned to earth & embraced her mortality - to marry Jason & die on Hercules: The Legendary Journeys? It isn't too much of a stretch to imagine the answers to the questions left to us; & for what it is worth - this is the viewing order as I imagine it:
