I STILL REMEMBER

Black mascara
rains down from Heaven
as snow melt & flesh
surrender their moisture;
painting themselves
with cobwebs
absinthe & nightshade.

Angry trees with bitter
fingers scratch the sky
while glitter strewn spiders
devour dainty jittery
lady bug addicts who
inject themselves with
innocence & sunshine
but learn only too late
that all that joy juice
was permeated
to no avail.

And when the trees
convulse & crumble
in a frozen wind
of Hell spawned panic...

When the snow of skin
erupts from within
& dark sparks are
all that we know...

The world -
It ends...

And all of the friends
that you thought wouldn't
leave you -

They go.

Gone from the world -
with chalk they were outlined...

Brothers & sisters
have left you behind...

Death & decay
are all that remain
inside of your mind
so that's what you became -

Goth boy in black
wearing always a shroud...

That's all the mourning
that this world allowed.
