she glowed

& I smiled in turn...

Last night he called

with no need of return...

Last night the smile

warmed & ignited me...

While later she wrote

& again she invited me...

The light of her voice;

the way that it grips me...

The light of their love;

desires eclipse me...

The idea of them

& the feeling of him -

The dreams that end nightly

though they still inspire...

The haunting beside me;

Pure though unsure
