THE BLACKBERRY BOYS

The boys draped in vines
bathed in bruise;
shaped by thorn...

The boys raped in lines:
lathe infused;
gaped and worn...

The boys were lost forever:
lost together;
lost...forlorn...

The boys were then erased,
with lies replaced;
truth laced with scorn.

They wished the lies were true...
could lives undo...

...were never born.

But I will never forget them
though the memory leaves me torn.
