FIRE AND ICE
Friends who loved
each other deeply
couldn't say the word...
Opposites attract
you see
although it seems absurd...
And John warmed to Bobby
like a fiery
Summer breeze...
And Bob wanted John
but feared rejection's
painful freeze...
And so the two together
fell to pieces;
buried lust...
And their world
was ice & ashes
fearful glances
dust to dust.
