I'm here

in the dark

holding hands

with my friends...

Jason & Jeremy,

and others long dead...

The tears,

they have dried,

though the pain never ends...

though it changes

and lingers,

linked through our fingers,

our memories mix

like a shot to my head.

The comfort

The solace

The smile laced tears...

The miles we've traveled

over so many years...

They've brought us together...

They've brought us this spark...

I'm here

with my friends

holding hands

in the dark.
