INCEST IS BEST

The blood that pumped through our veins

traveled to the same body parts

every time we saw one another.

We were brothers after all,

with more in common than we'd expected

or wished for...

Every confession made me want to hold him...

Every missing memory made me long to protect him...

Every thing in common made me want...

And the wanting was unbearable.

Here he was...

And I could touch him if I wanted to...

And oh, how I wanted to...

Yet he was forbidden just the same...

Incest is taboo.

But as we stripped away our defenses...

As we stripped away our clothing...

As we huddled together in our bed of social crime...

All our words and our laws fell away into silence...

And our flesh & bone puzzle was finally solved.
