LIVING DEATH
The last time I saw you;
Last time you were whole...
You held me together and gave me control...
You let me explore;
Your smile so dear...
I never suspected the end was so near...
That knowledge revealed
now colors the past...
And it seems that I fell under spell that was cast...
'cause I've never stopped
and I've never left...
I've held on to you though at times I have wept.
For you were so gentle
and I never thanked you...
You were so naughty and I never spanked you...
You were a devil
but you were my saint...
You were charmingly classically quaint...
You never died
and yet you are dead...
Horrible games it plays in my head....
Alive in my dreams
and in my mind's eye...
I'll always remember long after goodbye.
