MERMAID

The woman had anemone hair,

The woman could have caught my stare,

But she looked out across the sea,

She turned her gaze away from me,

For she would rather not I die,

She would rather say goodbye,

She would rather shed her oceans,

She would rather share emotions,

She would rather have us fall,

For valiant men or not at all.
