RAINING EXPERIENCE

Night that I met you
was warm and was cold,

We were both shy
even while we were bold,

Your sexy guile
infected each instant,

You made me smile
though I was resistant.

But later I dreamed of you
there on the street,

Alone in the rain
yet somehow complete,

No smile to hide
the truth of your pain,

That's where I found you:
there in the rain,

That's when I saw you
as more than you seemed,

That's where I held you to me
as I dreamed,

That's where we kissed...
and after I'd woken,

Longed for the dream
and words left unspoken,

For I'd like to know you
like that while awake,

Rain keeps on falling
yet you're hard to shake,

So speak little brother;
crossover the line,

Tell me your truth
and experience mine,

For I want to know you
and you're not complaining,

And we're both awake
even though it's still raining.
