ROSE COLORED WORLD

We came to this world

where the suns in the sky,

Beat down upon us

and made our skin dry.

Shaking for moisture;

baking for shade...

We ached for each other

but we were afraid

that the monsters might find us

and burn us to ashes...

So shed wasteful tears

Divided for years

Each one of them wrong

and like fifty long lashes.

But the monsters were dreams

and our lives were the slaughter.

And one day we woke

wanting more than for water.

But as we tried to drink

from our long denied lust,

the suns finally choked us...

Burnt us and smoked us:

Our love unignited had turned us to dust.
