RUNNING ON EMPTY

Miles swim past him

as he glides through time...

Men come and go

as he leaves them behind...

Sands in the hourglass

change into pearls...

As light refracts off him

in tight rainbow whirls...

All the men want him

'cause he never fades...

His life is a blinding light

made of jade...

But the light comes from nothing

which is why none can follow...

His diamond hard heart

has long left him hollow.
