UNFORTUNATE TRUTH
We only knew each other for months;
barely met more than once...
I barely knew you
but I knew that I liked you.
I knew that you liked me.
A little nervous
about how much you liked me.
But what got me
was the way you didn't like yourself.
And now months have passed
without poetry or letters...
And though it didn't last long,
I wanted you to know that I found you to be amazing!
Your
voice
kiss
truth
tongue
feel
You were the first in awhile to feel so real.
And you're hot little prick...
was hotter than you know.
And I hated the thought of letting you go...
But your self loathing
was colder than our heat could quell.
So sad such an angel
exists in such hell...
It hurt me to see you
and not see you well...
I wish you the best...
and wish that I'd melted
that frost covered loathing...
that sense of foreboding...
that part of you there that I couldn't quite touch.
The truth is I left you...
You couldn't accept you...
Unfortunate truth
is it hurt me too much.
