Collages:
I've only worked on two collages in my life so far, but I guess what I've created has been on a larger than average scale. The first collage was conducted over 5 years in the Milan Michigan bedroom where I came of age. That collage was born of desperation & anger, depression & sexual awakening (plus a bunch of other things that I can't even recall at this point). I never really thought of myself as artistic at the time, but friends assured me that what I'd done was inspired. I didn't document that creation as well as I should have, but what I do have in the way of pictures can be located at the link below. The 2nd collage I've been working on is also decorating a bedroom of mine which I've occupied since May 2000, though the collage only took life in mid 2007. The format of this collage is different than my previous effort; requiring different tools and inspirations...and I like to think the two collages when compared reflect the changes I've gone through,
at least to some small degree.
