WHEN CHILDREN DANCED
Part III: The Aristocratic Soldier
A spectral Soldier fights within my nightmares...
within my dreams,
And in the light of this reality the soul of The Soldier
still echoes in screams -
For the Soldier is the hero
which slumbers deep within us all,
And He helps us stand and fight
when the world says we should fall.
The traits found in The Soldier
are shared by my Aristocratic friend,
With effortless laughter He conquers Our fear
and starts over when He reaches the end -
His conversation is casual and sure
giving confidence of character to the Others,
And without His presence there is a void
felt by all of His Sisters and Brothers.
He is handsomely regal and approachable
with a devilishly biting wit,
A segrigit man of surprising depth...
He's the first to cry counterfeit -
But this trait is not a flaw...
It is a wonderfully protective anomaly,
It's an Aristocratic Soldier's response
to a possible threat to His family.
The intellectual insurgent...
Striving to save what is already lost,
Fighting to redeem His future...
No matter what the personal cost -
He has banded His troops together...
Fusing a bond no enemy could sever,
I pray that Our Aristocratic Soldier will prevail
and endure forever and ever.
