THE CHILDREN OF THIS WORLD (BOR)
THESE CHILDREN SHALL ENDURE
He enters His dream as His music dies,
Replaced by one of Their lonesome lullabies,
Which takes hold of His heart and leads Him on,
Where His troubles seem removed...distant...gone.
--------------------------------------------------
With a sad black voice that caresses the night,
A singer confesses in a rasp taken flight,
And grabs hold of the souls of all the patrons who are lost,
Who will dance a moment's passion no matter what the cost.
In the nick of time as the phrase is often coined,
Their sorrows are forgotten as The Battle (of wills) Is Joined,
In a struggle to impress Their superior enemies,
As They dual for Love and Pleasure and suppress Their memories.
Their commander continues singing in starkly vocal trends,
Sharing secrets...Shedding light...Indoctrinating friends,
Grazing emotions so low and so high the world seems hazy,
You know you can't survive without getting a little crazy.
But something subtle changes as They let the rhythm run,
And smiles break in triumph as They find They're having fun,
And Their muse ends his singing as he reaps a smile pure,
For he's done his part ensuring that These Children Will Endure.
But as Their motions cease They also drop Their guards as well,
And smiles fade away as each returns to His own Hell,
And They shed Their tears in torment as each remembers His own sorrow,
But They'll also always remember the dance that gave Hope of Love tomorrow.
They share Their pain in silence understanding to each His own,
As They give Their kissed good-byes knowing They'll never again be alone,
For They'll share this dream forever until They decide on what to do,
And They'll share it with all The World's Children...
-For They're Dream Will One Day Come True!-
--------------------------------------------------
He wakes within His bedroom as phantom shadows crowd His mind,
As He tries to place the faces of the ones He left behind,
But it's music that's recalled from His fever dream destroyed,
And nameless guiltless soldiers by a Child-Man deployed.
The image that He remembers will haunt Him longer than He knows,
For once You've stepped upon that dance floor or been caught in passion's throes,
The twisted corners of your mind that were once dark are now unfurled,
And you'll never again see Them the same: The Children Of This World.
