FRAGMENTS, PART II:
COURAGE TO GUIDE ME
After you left...
Before I met you...
Dreams of our lives...
Even in bed with you...
Flashes of memory...
Moments of wonder...
Stashes of laughter
like echos of thunder...
Sickness & teardrops -
Erections & smiles -
All things revisited -
All things worthwhile.
I close my eyes & see
you're a child...
Red head of hair &
secretly wild...
I see Donatello
leave the screen
to come ravage you...
I see a brother who
gently savaged you...
See body pillow
& know it's a Top...
I hear you begging
for my mouth not to stop...
See naked step father
inspiring lust...
See you sinning & winning
then breaking my trust...
I see you hot in
what dad says is fag tight...
I see you Strawberry Shortcake
baked just right...
I see a soldier, a sailor,
a man...
I see you seduce
whatever you can...
See South Haven bedroom
where you made me belong...
I see you grind on
your magic wand...
Purple it was;
I should know;
I gave it...
I see it locked in a box
where you save it...
I see you smile & I
hear you whisper...
I see you reach out
& unzip my zipper...
See the night that you left;
lighting candles for you...
See two boys in love
in the Moulin Rouge...
I see all this when
I just blink my eyes...
See this & more;
I guess love never dies.
