HAUNTED

A man once came

in search of the truth,

A gothic nightmare

for the burdened of youth,

A ghost that survived

the deaths of his friends,

And an unholy union

that never ends...

I was the ghost...

He was my lover,

He was the one

who loved me like no other,

He was the man

who haunted my heart,

And not even death

could tear us apart.

Take comfort in darkness...

take heed of my story,

Sadness is one

of love's bittersweet glories,

For sorrow has a luster

beyond that of most,

That will haunt you forever...

Till you give up the ghost.
