I TALKED

I talked last night to friend that I have known

five years - five years filled with love & friendship -

years that we did not see flashing by.

I talked last night & spoke of Shawn - the boy

who fills my thoughts; who has not called & left

me wondering is he alright; are we alright; are

we anything?

I talked last night & spoke of Maggie, Laurie,

Carrie, Amber, Christopher, Mark, & old friends

moved on & gone from my world.

I talked last night & I listened & I cherished

our time.

I talked last night & she made valid my viewpoint;

made sane my insanity; she put me at ease &

laid quiet my fears.

I talked last night & I was still thinking about him -

Am I thinking too much of him?

Am I questioning to much of this?

Am I talking aloud?

I talked last night...

I spoke & I laughed & I drank & I fed...

I wandered the haunts of the last 2 Friday nights...

I swear that this night is like those times I first met her.

We walked last night...

We talked last night...

I walked & talked & she made me feel better.
