THE MASQUERADE BALL

Part I: THE LAST OF THE MASQUE

Here we are,

Together in our loneliness.

Always missing the warmth,

We pretend with our bodies but it's not the same.

We hide here in our crystal sphere,

But in the end everything shatters.

We're in bodage of a kind,

For we live The Masque.

We hide behind our fantasy of what life is,

But in the end...death steals that from us as well.

Live your life while you can...they say,

But what is there to live for?

Everythings dancing...Everythings burning!

A mist approaches,

The barrier gives way,

And at last the walls come tumbling down.

They begin to disappear,

My fellow dancers are blurred,

And I am left alone.

The Last Of The Masque.

Alone,

So alone,

"Why am I here?"

"What in this place is worth living for?!"

And then she arrives:

The Queen Of The Masquerade Ball.
