MOONLIGHT & MEN'S EYES

The coal still smeared

along my fingers...

On these keys

for days

will linger...

But men created

won't complain...

Though they may fear

the smear of rain...

They know that they

are still on me...

Know that I have

set them free...

Know that light

inspired actions...

They are real...

They aren't distractions...

That is what I tell myself -

That is why I'm not myself -

Why I'm not with someone else...

With moonlight eyes

I gave them guise -

I gave them life;

they gave me health.
