OCEAN ROOM
Ocean breeze blows
pale white curtain in the
pale blue room looking out
on deep blue sea.
The pale moon shines down
on darkened seas
and pale white hands
on blue painted wooden
window sill.
Those pale hands clasp
& stroke away the chill
blowing in off that unforgiving
body of water which claimed
so many of this body's
children.
The hands reach out for answers
in the moonlight sparkled water
but find nothing but the chill
so recently departed.
The hands pull back inside
that ocean room & are covered
with a pale white sheet to
be found in early morning hours;
washed by warm loving hands
that will comfort as best they can
before the burial at sea.
