THE MASQUERADE BALL
PART II: THE QUEEN
She walks towards me,
I can feel her heat.
In a moment she is in my embrace and we are dancing;
Not just any dance...
But a dance so innocent,
A dance so sensual,
A dance so passionate in it's simplicity,
That it touches the very heart of my existance,
My very soul.
My heart beats furiously,
Emotions I didn't know I had are exposed;
The Crimson Passion Flows!
How I have arrived at these sensations I know not,
I only know that I do not want them to end.
I look into my partner's face for the answers,
I search her features for a sign,
But all I find are a pair of striking blue eyes,
And s set of scarlet stained lips waiting to be kissed.
I stroke her chek as I ask for her name...
"I am The Queen." She Answers.
"I am The Dreem."
"I am your reason for living."
"But I am usually called Love."
With that I can no longer hold back,
We ignite in a kiss that sends shivers of pleasure through me,
We are soon engulfed in flame.
Everything comes back into focus and the fire dies.
The Queen is gone -
But her words echo in my heart.
As I turn to leave I happen to catch my reflection in a mirror,
And I suddenly realize why I feel so very different...
For as my reflection reveals...
In that final kiss -
The Masquerade had ended.
