QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS
When I met him I wondered why the spark?
Why the glances without remark?
Why the longing passionate despair?
Why has the wanderer started to care?
When I watched him I wondered why the walls?
Why the tear that never falls?
Why the distant aloneness of youth?
And why do I now want to know the truth?
When I listened to his words I asked myself why?
Why do I fall when we'll soon say good-bye?
Why must I feel like I'm so brokenhearted?
And why is it over before it all started?
The answers are many but beyond my reach,
Love has a difficult lesson to teach,
The struggle to answer is what life's about,
Beyond the shadow of all of our doubt.
