SHIRTLESS
The sweat was an ocean
that poured salt in my eyes.
The night was inside of us
while I stifled her crys.
The anger exhaustion -
The heated flesh auction -
Combined & I didn't give a damn what they'd think.
The faucet was dripping -
Strangers watching & tripping -
All as I bathed my sore arms in the sink.
The memory of Shawn touching me like no other...
I remembered his words while we cuddled together...
His voice made me hard with the words of a brother...
Alone now I vanquish the demons he teathered.
Shirtless & dancing without friends there to hold me...
Shirtless & NAKED with no fears there to scold me...
Shirtless & thankful that I'd found this freedom...
Shirtless & dancing with the ghosts of the children.
