SMILE FROZEN
Last night...
The smile was his...
The blue was his shirt...
He was so tight he couldn't lay down.
The Mary was smiling & nervous & wonderful.
The coffee was memory of caffinated bliss.
The straight fags were memory of highschool drama.
Smiles we shared.
Kisses were had.
We had those kisses...
The cold was Denny's
& outside was sick with it...
The girl was surprise gift...
His head down on my wrists...
His smile is upside down
frozen
& melted
to mine.
And when they pulled away into the darkness
they spoke of me
while she ripped sparkling beads
from a lovely little purse
& I smiled for the boy
that brought this joy to my senses.
