TO DREAM OF TRAINS

When We Were Children Years From Now,

We Used To Keep A Sacred Vow,

A Promise Made Despite The Cost,

A Secret That Has Since Been Lost.....

For We Were Children Who Dreamed Of Trains.

Years Before We Were Ever Born,

Old Wive's Tales Were Weaved And Worn,

Warning Not To Dream Too Late,

"Don't Dream Of Wolves", "Don't Tempt Fate"...

But We Were Children Who Dreamed Of Trains.

The Trains That Haunted Us In Our Sleep,

Were A Gift From God...They Made Us Weep,

The Trains...I've Discovered...Were Trasporting The Dead,

And These Were Raced Nightly Inside Of Our Heads!!!

For We Were Children Who Believed In Trains.

Trains May Take Us Away From Our Past,

A Train Of Thought Can Travel So Fast,

But If My Train Should Come...Before Your Lifetime Is Through,

Remember Your Brother Dreamed Of Trains...Just Like You.

For We Are Still Children...Still Haunted By Trains.

And If Years Should Pass Before You Board Our Train,

On Twilighted Nights Chilled By Sweet Autumn Rain,

And You Hear A Clocks Ticking...And The Trains Mournfull Call,

Remember Your Brother Loved You Most Of All.

For You Were The One Who Shared His Dream Of Trains.

But Enough Of This Now...For We Both Are Still Here,

We Are Both Still Alive...Though Our Friendship Seems Queer,

For Our Visions Have Changed Us...And We've Grown Apart,

And Our Differences Have Wounded And Broken Our Hearts....

But We Still Have A Chance To Love One Another,

A Chance To Remember That Sister And Brother,

We Must Concentrate...And Remember Our Past,

That Nightmare And Magic That Held Us So Fast...

It's Easy!!!

Believe Me!!!!

Though Hard These Refrains....

Remember Our Father! Mother!! Each Other!!!

Then All You Must Do Is...To Dream -

Dream Of Trains.
