THE WOMAN OF MY DREAMS

At last it comes...Time for bed,

Time for reunions of souls long made wed,

Time for The Moon to shed Her light,

Upon this magical...Mystical night.

As I close my eyes...I realize...

this time may well be the last,

So I hold on tight...And tell myself...

Not to go too fast.

Colors merge and sway

Within the blackness of my mind,

As I concentrate on the face

of the woman that I must find.

Soon the transition is made complete,

And I find myself on a ravaged street,

Where buildings burn in emerald fire,

In a world that holds my one desire.

But as soon as I search the ground

And the landscape has been scanned,

I begin to run with all the strength

That I myself command.

For there is something very wrong...

I can feel it in my heart,

And I pray that she is safe...

And that we'll never again be apart.

Suddenly she's before me...

Her eyes filled with relief,

As buildings tumble to the ground

I try to console her grief.

And I take her in my arms...

As this world is torn apart...

It's so unfair our Love should die...

Before it even starts.

"I'm nothing at all when your not with me,

So tonight my dear I'll set you free,

I love you truly...I've told you so,

So hold on tight...And don't let go!"

The wind blows hard but we hold tight,

This is our last chance...Our last fight,

And the world fades away as we unite in a kiss,

As I awaken all alone...Feeling lonely and listless.

I get out of bed

not really caring that I'm alive,

I can only hope

that the woman of my dreams has survived -

But all worries of her fate

soon disappear without a trace,

As The Woman Of My Dreams

Steps from darkness...To my embrace.
