The Sarah Jane Adventures: Season 02 (2008)
The 2nd Season of The Sarah Jane Adventures has entered
production as of May 2008. The season will consist of 6 2-part
stories (12 episodes). A new family will be moving to
Bannerman Road, known as the Chandras: mother Gita
(Mina Anwar), father Haresh (Ace Bhatti) and daughter Rani
Chandra (Anjli Mohindra). It's been rumored that these new
characters will replace Maria & her dad, who may leave half
way through the season, but that has not been confirmed.
Also not confirmed, but rumored, is a guest appearance by
David Tennant as The Doctor! I really hope the rumor about
the Doctor appearing is true, as the Doctor himself will only have
4 specials of his own next season and this would allow him another
appearance. Other rumors are that one of the evil nuns from "Eye of
the Gorgon" will return in one form or another.
"We're waving goodbye to Maria, Alan & Chrissie, as the Jacksons take their
leave after the first story. Though it's a busy old universe - don't be
surprised if it's not the last you see of them! But life on Bannerman Road
goes on - and that's where Rani comes in! The Chandra family soon arrives,
with Rani's mother and father, Haresh and Gita. Can Sarah Jane have a
quiet life & stop her neighbors becoming involved in her extraordinary
adventures? Well, What do you you think?! There's a lot of focus on Luke &
Clyde - we even get to meet the rest of the Langer family, and trouble's not
far behind... With a longer run than last year we've got a wide and bold
range of stories. One's a sequel to a SJA story from last year. One's even a
sequel to one of the Doctor's adventures! But as ever, there are new
monsters, new villains, and new problems for the regular cast."

Foxglove Village, at a time when the local fete is taking place. Sarah's
parents are there too, as is a baby Sarah Jane. The adult Sarah doesn't
remember her parents as they died in a car accident when she was still
a baby. The plot has to do with changing history, and sounds a lot like
"Father's Day" from Doctor Who.

This 2 part story is the one to bring back
Sir Alistair Gordon Lethbridge-Stewart & the Sontarans,
& Mrs. Wormwood!!! Awesome! With mentions of the
Doctor, and where the Brig was during the recent Dalek
invasion - and references to other things Who, such as
Harry Sullivan. It's also said, that the Sontarans are
seeking "blood revenge" for their defeat in "The Poison Sky".
The story is confirmed to be directed by Graeme Harper.
