Bald Jason's Musings

I finally wrote a poem for Corey on Monday. When I told Mark he was shocked that I hadn't already written him 30 or 40. lol I'm just not as into writing this year, and that's fine with me. I have little doubt that the urge will hit me again someday. Anyways, Corey, who'd been a bit nervous about the writing, seemed to like it well enough.
Tusday, I made sure to be up for work extra early, and was ready to go an hour before Mark arrived to get me. I've been late a lot lately, and while I haven't gotten into major trouble for this (mostly because the store hasn't been very busy), I personally find it annoying. I ended up getting to work 19 minutes early, and since I had to wait for Mark to pick me up, I also worked over by an hour & 10 minutes. I also made sure I sold at least 3 bundles, and at least 20 Play Guards. I might be trying to cover my ass, but it feels good. ;-0)
Work was deadly dull though. I worked with John, Bryan, Meg, Pat & Joe. We did a lot of busy work: cleaning, stocking, straightening. But we were all in fairly good moods and had no horrible customers to bring us down a notch. I forgot the yogert I was going to snack on, so I went to McDonalds and said hello to Robert. There was much laughter, and while I was glad to leave when I did, I'm constantly grateful for my coworkers, and it's nice to have a job where you can honestly say that.
After work, we went to Meijer so I could get my final Midrin refill. The drug is on back order, but they managed to find a bottle at another store, which should be in tomorrow. I'm not out of my last bottle (I just wanted to refill it before the final refill expires on Thursday), so I'm not a big rush for it, so that was fine. Mark and I said hello to some Meijer people we know from when we worked there, and then we headed home.
We were supposed to do customer billing at Bitserve, but Mark had some other stuff he wanted to do, and I was really tired, so we put it off on Mark's suggestion. I would have struggled through it if Mark hadn't said anything, but I'm very glad that he did. lol ;-0)
I fell asleep soon after laying down, and woke up around 1:30am. I fooled around online for an hour, and then started reading Harry Potter again. I'd read a chapter before work, and was really getting into. I read a hundred pages without noticing, and then remembered I needed to take my prilosec. I also need to go get some groceries before Mark takes the car to work, so I figured I should take a break, though I could easily keep reading.
I've decided that Harry Potter & The Order of the Phoenix is my favorite in the series thus far. When I first read it, I'd had all kinds of expectations for it, that weren't met, so I was left kind of broken. lol The 2nd time I read it, which was about 2 years ago, just days before the 6th book was released, I enjoyed it far more. This time I just appreciate so much of what the characters go through and how they grow; it's really a joy to read, which is odd, since it's a very dark book. For me, Harry Potter 1 & 2, are about the same; enjoyble, but not great. There's nothing wrong with them; they just aren't spectacular. That changes in book 3. And then they improve again in book 4, and again in book 5. Book 6 is a bit strange. It doesn't feel like a complete story, and the author has actually said that books 6 & 7 are much more connected than the previous volumes. I enjoy book 6, but I don't think I'll understand how much, or how little until I read the final volume. Though there is one storyline in the 6th book (which I won't describe here), which makes me glow every time I think of it.
Anyways...I should get to it.

I was busy doing random stuff on Wednesday. Wednesday night I chatted with Bobby, and read a lot of Harry Potter 5. I didn't spot Corey online, but he's having a stressful week at work, so I'm not surprised. I also talked to Mollie, who isn't having the best of luck at her job. Apparently, most of her coworkers are in High School, are obsessed with beauty pageants, and are deeply religious, including the gay boy she works with, who has an older boyfriend - I guess they're allowed to be gay as long as they don't fuck. lol Whatever. Oral sex is sodomy too.
Thursday, I was early to work again, after getting very little sleep. I worked over again too. I got to see Chris though, and apparently her school fucked up her credits and so she won't be graduating like she should be!?! Mark & I gave her lots of hugs, and Bryan too, who had a bad day.
After work, Mark & I went to Meijer to get my drugs, plus a new toaster and a blender. We saw Yvette Tower & Karen Edwards, which was fun. I should find some time to hang out with them sometime soon. Carrie and I are talking about hanging out as well.
After Meijer, Mark took me to see his new work space, which is really nice, though it's a bit farther out that the older location. There are all these fancy churches all over the place, but the people are pretty spread out, so I don't know why they need so many. I'm referring now, to out in the country, where Mark's new office is. It's weird.
I was exhausted and went to bed as soon as I got home. I woke up around 12:30am. I downloaded the new Smallville while reading my e-mail. I took my prilosec, and read some more Harry Potter; I'm nearly finished with less than 200 pages now, so I'm slowing down a bit. I ate, and watched Smallville; only 2 more episodes this season, which I think is easily their best so far. I watched a Legion of Superheroes episode; the season is over with and while I don't love the show (or hate it) I thought I might watch the rest of the season. We'll see.
I have to work today, and I'm hoping to be early again, and I'll probably work over again as well. I'll get to see DJ today for the first time in a couple of weeks.
I saw a new Harry Potter 5 poster which rocked.
Spider-Man 3 is open now. I want to see it, but I'm not sure when or if I'll see it in the theater.
There's a new episode of Doctor Who on Saturday which looks cool, and apparently ties into the larger arc of the season. It's the last new episode for 2 weeks, so I hope it's fantastic. It has to be better than that crappy Dalek / New York story from the last 2. Blah.
You may have noticed at this point that I'm rambling so I'm just going to stop while I'm almost ahead.

Was early to work, late to leave, and I've outsold all my coworkers, including my managers ;-0) I'm so weird. I'm either late or early, but seldom on time. What's up with that? lol Work was boring, but fun. Josh Herter stopped in, and I worked with DJ, Bryan, Mike, Alex, Pat, Bill & Nate.
I rented the first disc of Stargate: Atlantis. I tried watching Stargate SG-1 when it first started and thought it was horrible. I know a lot of people that really love it though, so I thought I might give it another shot, only we don't have the first disc at our store. Then I thought I'd try to get into Atlantis, as we have the first 2 seasons, and if I like it, maybe the show that spawned it will appeal to me more. I also rented the pilot and first disc of Babylon 5. I've tried to watch this show in the past, but couldn't get into it. I'm going to try again, as we have the entire series at work, plus 2 of the movies, and if I could watch the whole series for free, in order, then even if I don't like it in the end, I can at least discuss it with people that have seen it. Corey likes both I think, so I thought it would be cool to talk to him about them.
I slept after work, and woke up around 12:30am. There was a voicemail on my phone from my friend Karen Edwards, who said that our friend Adam (who I dated briefly about 9 years ago) were going to Necto and that they'd like it if I joined them. I got ready super quick and got there a little after 1am. I also knew that Kristopher was going to be there, and while I did see him, it was kind of strained as there was major drama brewing. I did meet his girlfriend though, who was really pretty, but kind of bitchy - something was going on there that I didn't understand, so I'm not holding that against her.
It was great seeing Karen and Adam; I bought us all a shot. Adam wanted a kiss, but I didn't know how Corey would feel about me kissing an ex-bf, even if it was just for old time's sake, so I turned him down gently. I wandered the bar and ran into Kris's friend Shane, who I chatted with online a few weeks ago. I met his friend Caleb, and they were both so hot (especially Shane) that I had my picture taken with them. Then Caleb took a picture of me with Karen and Adam. It was fun.
As the night went on, there was major sparkage with Shane, but I told him about Corey; that I was kind of seeing someone but that he (Shane) was a hottie. We hung out for what remained of the night, and we said goodnight there was a kiss. But since I'd not slept with him before, and he knew that I was seeing someone, I figured this wasn't a big deal, and it was a nice night out.
On the way to my car I got hit on. There's this couple that comes into Hollywood on Sunday nights. They just look fantastic together. I saw one of them in passing inside the bar, and said hello to him. Well, his boyfriend, or possibly ex-bf called out to me from his parked car and tried to hook up with me. I told him I was flattered, because I was - this guy is really hot - but that I wasn't seeing someone, and I asked him about his boyfriend as well. He told me that he and his boyfriend are one of those couples that are on again off again, and not to worry about them. I said goodnight, and he made some pretty suggestive remarks, which were flattering, but I got in my car and came home.
Mark listened to my stories, and then I stumbled upstairs. I sent Corey an e-mail. I sent some My Space Messages, and some comments. Then I wrote this.
I'm a bit tired. I think I'm going to jackoff, shower and get some more sleep. But don't hold me to that. lol
I only have a few pictures left on this roll of film, so maybe I can get some pictures tomorrow and get it developed on Monday. I may also go visit my Grandparents and sisters on Monday. We'll see.

I didn't get to bed until after 9am; possibly 10. I was exhausted, but I just couldn't sleep. I turned down the AC, which helped a lot, as it always does, and I slept until around 4:30pm. I had really weird dreams. I dreamt that I ran into this girl T, at a party, and her husband C was there, and their son was missing. They don't have a son, as far as I know, but their son looked just like C's little brother did when he was just a kid. It was really weird, and there was a bunch of other stuff going on, but it was all very stylized, with lots of detail and everything was beautiful...like one of the Scott brothers had directed it. ;-0)
When I woke up, I brushed my teeth, started downloading the new Doctor Who, and started responding to my e-mail messages. I still have one more to go. Then I can eat, maybe watch the new Who with Mark, and then we have to do customer billing. yay.
