Bald Jason's Musings
Tuesday, March 2, 2010
Wow. Not posted for about a week. How did that happen? Um...so what happened?
[let me apologise now for all the spelling errors to come, which I don't have the energy to correct]
Lots of headaches. Lots of stress. Lots of me being a cranky bitch. I had some really surreal dreams.
Last Thursday morning I woke from a dream (at Michael's) in which I was at Cedar Point with my family, and I joined the cast of Glee at the invitation of a cute guide boy. Cecelia Ramsy(?) was there; Sophia Coppola directed the club at my family's church; there were other choirs singing in unison directed by Rod Stewart. We were young, but the age we are now... Jennifer Murry, Grandma & Janice were there. I got to kiss this stuck up boy in the production, but left him wanting more, leaving with the cute lead of 'Were the World Mine'. In attendance of the show, and giving us a standing ovation were Lynda Carter, Graham Norton, Ewan McGregor, Oprah, Ellen, Adam Lambert, Mollie, Michael Slaughter, Mark Adams, Catherine Tate, David Tennant, Chris Eccolston(? the 9th Doctor), Billie Piper, Russel T. John Barrowman & his husband (think his name is Scott) and other Torchwood peeps (Gwen, Ianto, Rhys, Tosh and Andy).
Another time I dreamt that the family church had this wellspring of water within the stairwell (for baptisms) - and downstairs in the basement a wall opened up to reveal water fueled machinery with these women inside who I confessed to seeing my father murdered in the room.
I got my BSG soundtrack (which rocked). Mark accidentally broke my dvd player - which has sucked on many levels over the last week. I keep wanting to work on projects or watch movies and then I realize I can't. Add to that Michael's father having a heart attack; Mark's sister Veronica's heart giving her problems; my worrying over my jaw doctor appointment (which is today), Mark hearing a buzzing in his head, me having stomach cramps and recurring headache, and a flat tire on the car which put it in the shop - and you've got a week of mostly hell, with some nice grace notes in between the chaos.
Some of the good moments included Mark & me hugging after he calmed down... Michael and I having some quality time (after spending hours together that weren't that fun)... Seeing my grandparents and their interactions with Mark; they clearly love each other... Listening to the BSG music... Watching the new episodes of Caprica ("The Is Another Sky"), Desperate Housewives, the latest 2 episodes of Smallville and about 5 episodes of Brothers and Sisters (with 2 still to come).
I had nightmares last night about Michael cheating on me again...and I'm left feeling really horrible about them. Part of me wants to trust, and part of me tells me not to. It doesn't help that when I was on the phone with him around 2:30am, I thought I heard the noise of an IM from Manhunt in the background, which he said was the noise of his printer shutting down - which it could very well be, only I've heard him lie like that in a very believable manner when he was fooling around the whole time, so it's hard to believe him. Ugh. This sucks.
My stomach is in knots. I need to go.

My doctor's appointment went well yesterday, despite some moments of panic, fear and doubt. The doctor was kind and open-minded, and understanding. He didn't charge us for 2 $75.00 shots that were given, and some of the more expensive procedures (which may happen down the line) are most likely going to be scheduled at UofM where my insurance should pay for them. Dr. Ashman feels that my problem is probably a disc that's out of place, and a muscular problem as well; he seemed hopeful that some progress could be made and encouraged me to do these home exercises for a month, which I've already started doing. Hopefully this works out. It's hard to keep the fear and the anxiety at bay, but I'm under doctor's orders to try, so I'm doing my best. It's a huge relief to be under a doctor's care who seems to understand what's happening to me; who cares about the consequences on my life, and who is giving me things to try rather than telling me there's no hope.
In the last few days I've completely caught up on Caprica, Desperate Housewives, Brothers & Sisters & Smallville. I'm 2 episodes behind on Spartacus. I'm WAY behind on Lost, as I can't watch the episodes that I have due to a computer problem, which will hopefully be sorted out soon.
Doctor Who returns 1 month from today; a Saturday. The first episode back is a 1 hour special titled 'The Eleventh Hour', which picks up right after 'The End of Time, Part II'. The first 6 titles have been confirmed as:
5x01 The Eleventh Hour
5x02 The Beast Below
5x03 Victory of the Daleks
5x04 Time of Angels [Part I]
5x05 Flesh & Stone [Part II]
5x06 Vampires of VeniceThe 2 parter features the return of The Weeping Angels and Professor River Song.

I worked on Michael's farm today; got him up to level 57; 3 levels to go. I did my jaw exercises a few times today. I unloaded the dishwasher; bagged some trash; cleaned my room. I had to get rid of my cherished lamp as it was falling to pieces. Michael came over and took Mark & I to get our car, after which Mark & I went to Meijer and Wendy's before coming home, where I had a snack and workd on Michael's farm some more, and burned a tv disc for him. Thinking of maybe going to see him now, though I'm quite tired.

I stopped at HARC and got tested on my way to Michael's where I visited with him, cuddling and watching Lavern & Shirley. I hooked up Michael's webcam; perhaps I'll get to see him 'perform' sometime soon. I wanked him before I left, and he commented that when I yawned my jaw seemed to be opening wider than it has the last 4 months. Perhaps the exercises are working? My jaw aches something fierce though. I came home. Worked on the farms. I'm not planting mine for now. Gonna sleep soon; I'm exhausted.
DJ is taking Mark & I to Pizza House around 1:30pm. Michael works today at around 2pm.

Slept well. Did the farm thing (got Michael to level 58). Read some news. The Sarah Jane Adventures, which airs it's 4th Season this fall, has already been renewed for a 5th Season to air in 2011! That's 24 more 30 minute episodes! Awesome! Also, stories are being written for a 32nd Season of Doctor Who (which isn't surprising at all, as nothing but the cancellation of Doctor Who would be a surprise at this point). Still no word yet on when or if we'll be getting a season 4 of Torchwood, despite Season 3's HUGE ratings and critical acclaim.

Feeling sleepy again. I wanked off and showered, but still feel tired. Hmmm. I have about 1.5 hours before DJ gets here. I'm harvesting Michael's farms, but probably not planting right now.

The latest Buffy issue came out yesterday, though I can't read it until a new graphic novel arrives at my condo next week. I still might stop by the comic shop today and get this isssue. That way I'll have 8 issues to read next week. Fun!

Had a good time with DJ. I let him borrow Caprica, The Next Doctor, Planet of the Dead, The Waters of Mars, The End of Time, Parts I & II, and was gonna loan him The Plan, but Bryan didn't show up. He also borrowed 'Once More, With Feeling' from Buffy (Season 6, Disc 2). We might go to a game night at DJ's tomorrow (Michael is invited as well).
I'm still feeling extremely tired and might take a nap.
I have 'Were the World Mine' stuck in my head!

I took a nap after the last entry; had a nightmare about my sister Janice; nothing in it was scary per say, but it inspired some dread. I woke up right before DJ texted me; we chatted a bit as friends do, then I texted Michael, and got a voicemail from my mom; Jamie's leg has some unforseen problems and she'll be having surgery on Tuesday, though they don't know when yet. I called mom up and talked to her about it; Janice was there so I talked to her about my dream and stuff. I told her a story that made her laugh alot ("WTF? = Why the face?") and let her go; later I spoke to Michael and set up some stuff on yahoo - though yahoo is doing this weird thing where it says all my old contacts are new? It's weird. I stayed up; did the farm thing, and talked to Michael on his way home from work, then went to sleep.
I slept well. Woke up around 7am (went to bed around 1am I think). Michael has to have his dad at the hospital for a stress test around 9am so he's probably doing that right now. [I was wrong; he has to be at his dad's place at 9am - at the hospital at 10pm)
I just read that Smallville has probably been renewed for Season 10; scifiwire is reporting it too! This is good news; the show deserves that season IMO. At Season 7 I thought the show needed to die; that it was doing all the things it had done before and NOT very well, but after Season 7 Lana & Lex left the series, as did the head writers, and it opened up the show for a recharge that I never expected, with Seasons 8 & 9 proving to be better than the show has any right to be at this point!
I've also read that the script for Wolverine 2 (or at least the first permutation of it that I've heard of) is finished. Hopefully it will go into production soon; I imagine it won't be released until 2012, as there have been 3 years between every X-Men movie so far...
[on the phone with Michael who just called]
Oh. He made me laugh a lot and smile this morning. I hope he has a good day, and that I get to see him soon.
Anyways...Wolverine 2. I liked the first one (with 2 minor complaints including a HORRIBLE special effects scene, and 1 really terrible line of dialogue - but beyond that it rocked), and the X-Men movie series is still my favorite Superhero series of films, as I found the Spider-Man trilogy to be lacking. And while I really enjoyed 'The Dark Knight' I still think 'Batman Begins' is horrible, despite the heaps of praise it gets in most circles. 'Superman Returns' was crap. The classic Superman series sucked after Part II, and even the firsst 2 entries are so dated now as to be kind of lame. The old Batman series is pretty good; I even enjoy the 3rd entry (Batman Forever), though I (like everyone else I know) loathe the 4th & final entry in that series (Batman & Robin). "Iron Man" was ok. I've not seen the latest Hulk movie, though I will as soon as I know the order the new Marvel movies take place in (Iron Man, Hulk, Thor, Captain America & Avengers all take place in the same universe). 'Blade' was good, but the trilogy got worse as it went on, with the final entry sucking beyond the telling of it. 'Watchmen' was pretty awesome, though I found the upping of the anti-gay, removing of LGBT storylines to be annoying so I don't love it as much as the graphic novel. The original Crow movie was pretty good, but the sequels were terrible, the tv series sucked, and I'm not excited about the remake as of yet. I'm excited to see the 2nd season of 'Wolverine & the X-Men', even though my favorite character (Emma Frost) will most likely not appear. I miss the DCAU shows, but they've been replaced by DC DVD movies that I've heard are good; I just can't accept them.

Caught up on Spartacus.
Michael is home and stressed about money, and I can't really blame him. He's been screwed over by so many people and it's all coming back to bite him in the ass now. It really sucks. I wish there was something I could do to help him.

Mark went to run errands so I chatted with Michael on cam for a bit then took a nap. Everytime I eat it makes me tired these days, plus the pills I should be taking for my jaw (but haven't been this week) knock me out as well. Grr. I'm gonna get ready and head out I think.
I just got an e-mail; my Buffy Season 8, Volume 6 has shipped, which means I'm likely to get it on Tuesday, the day of it's release. I just need to make it to my comic shop before then for the latest issue so I can read the latest 8 in row; really looking forward to being all caught up on Buffy; I just wish we were in the final arc. As it stands, after these 8 issues, there will be 7 more issues of Season 8 (I think), not including any one shots they decide to add in later.

Went to Michael's last night. Had oral sex for the first time in 4.5 months! I took a muscle relaxant to help with my jaw and slept after watching some Roseanne. Woke up around 8am with Michael gone to work. Talked to him later. Got dressed and went home. Chatted with Mark. Watched the new Caprica (1x06 Know Thy Enemy). Ate. Slept more. Watched a disturbing documentary on GMOs; highly recommended.
