The nap is what I needed; feeling much better now, though I'm still in some pain. Blah. Tried calling Michael but he didn't answer; thinking he's asleep again.

New Wachowskis movie in the works. These people made LGBT inclusive movies like the superb lesbian thriller "Bound", the often brilliant yet uneven "The Matrix Trilogy", & the sublime "V for Vendetta". The new movie is said to be an extremely graphic gay love story between a US Soldier and an Iraqui citizen with some sci-fi overtones. Awesome. Looking forward to it.

For those reading this that don't remember "The Matrix Trilogy" as being LGBT inclusive (something I doubt anyone could have missed in "Bound" or "V For Vendetta in which the Gay / Lesbian characters were central) then I offer this evidence:

The Matrix:

At a goth rock party near the beginning of the film, two women can be seen suggestively moving near one another. It's not much, I'll grant you, but it stuck out for me the first time I saw the film.

If that was all I had then I'd not say they were exactly inclusive, but there's more.

The Matrix Reloaded:

In the Matrix Reloaded, during the celebration in Zion there are several graphic shots of girl on girl dancing that appears to be sexual in nature. These characters are human and are being portrayed as the good guys:

That's hard to ignore. There was also a Matrix game released around this time which featured scenes not included in the movies but with the same actors; one scene involved a girl on girl kiss. But there's still more.

The Matrix Revolutions:

During the battle in Zion there is a character who appears to be (sterotypically speaking) a lesbian. She dies without any proof that she is, but the sterotypical lesbian dies fighting for humanity. Also, we see some gay programs in the machine world with another girl / girl dancing couple...

But there is also, finally a boy on boy kiss that cements the trilogy's inclusiveness if you ask me.

Of course all of this happens in the background, but I think it's still a positive portrayal that was cool to be included in an awesome Sci-Fi Trilogy. What do you think?

Stumbled on this graphic music video this morning. I like it.

Downloading some Classic Who. Wish I could find all those old spin-offs that I've not seen. The new episode hasn't been posted yet.
