Work on Wednesday was mostly fun. I had one really rude customer, but I didn't let him get me down. Gloria was there for a large chunk of my shift, and it's always good seeing her. She told me that she brags about my memory and humor to the other district managers. DJ & Bryan also worked, and later Laura, Meg & Bill. It was all good. And Laura started talking more, and opening up, which was a nice change. I was worried that she might not fit in at first, but it's looking brighter all the time.

I started rewatching Star Trek: Voyager. I've never seen the entire series all the way through, and I've not seen many of the earlier episodes in about a decade. I remember almost all of them very clearly though. The reason I'm doing this now, is that the series takes place concurrently with the series of Star Trek books that I'm planning on reading. This way, the voyager side of things will be fresh in my mind as I'm reading. Mark has watched a few episodes with me.

I've also started tracking down as much of Doctor Who as I can. I ordered the first three serials the other day, and Mark & I watched the very first episode of Doctor Who last night, which first aired the night that Kennedy was shot. I also ordered 3 random serials that I found for significant discounts on half.com - each one about a different doctor (3rd, 4th & 5th). There's a new episode of Doctor Who on tomorrow, which is supposed to be pretty scary, called "Blink". There are only 3 more episodes this season following that episode, and all feature Captain Jack Harkness, and are said to reveal what happened to him after Torchwood, Season 1 - not to mention how he got from the future of his last Doctor Who appearance, to the past where Torchwood started. I'm very excited to see these last 4 episodes ;-0)

On Thursday I accomplished far more than I would have expected at the time. I watced "Blood & Chocolate" which wasn't as stupid as I expected; it was better than I thought it would be, but it wasn't as good as it could have been. I'm glad I had low expectations.

Later, I drove Mark to work. I went to Hollywood Video, and picked up the store copy of the new Dress Code. I went home; watched an episode of Voyager ("Ex Post Facto") while I ate. Then I went to my mom's work to drop of the movie that I belatedly bought her for Mother's Day, which she loved. I can't believe how short she is...it was weird, standing there, towering over her. But it was a happy, short visit, and I was off. There were construction problems on my way home but I got around them.

Later, I went and rented some movies from Video Hut, and went to the bank to deposit what money I could spare. I also stopped by Staples to visit Jennifer and to give her a heads up concerning Mollie's visit and the party we're planning. I then went home where I shaved, showered, and relaxed, watching another Voyager episode: "Emanations". I remember watching that episode with Gene Warrick, when it first aired back in 1995. Weird.

Later still, I picked up Mark where I made copies of the new Hollywood Dress Code, then went to Smooth Criminal and bought new earings, some wacky labret jewelry, and had my ears cleaned, and jeweled. It came to about $80.00, but it was worth every penny, as the new dress code says that men can now wear 1 earing in each ear, but I've heard from Glory that her boss, Gary is going to override that soon. Well, now I'll have a copy of the dress code, with the date on it, and the receipt from the piercing place, showing that I got them in the day after the new dress code went into effect. I'm thinking that will most like grandfather me in for life. And if not, at least allow me to wear the earings until my ears heal. Even though they were pierced before, and I'm wearing the same gage I did before, it's been so long since I've worn them, that they hurt like a bitch! Oh, well.

After all that, we went back to Hollywood to return the store's copy of the dress code, rented still more B5 (which isn't what I rented earlier), and then headed home, where we finally got more Bald Jason pictures taken. We haven't been doing that much lately, and I'm trying to prioritize it, as it's the only way it's going to get done, and I have a lot of work to do on my new galleries that kind of require a steady stream of new pictures to blend with the old.

Later, Mark & I watched an episode of Voyager ("Prime Factors" - which I've always loved, and was written by David R. George III, who rocks, and has conversed with me through an e-mail exchange that he sought, after he was impressed with my defending of gay & lesbian Trek fans) & the first ever episode of Doctor Who. Then we pretty much both went to bed. I've been sleeping really well at night lately. We'll see how long that lasts.

I woke up around 9:20am. Took my prilosec. Wrote this.
