BEING FRANK
I noticed him.
Cute, I thought.
But I figured I'd just walk right past him,
because Rhonda loves me.
Only I didn't,
because...wow.
I sat my basket on his belt,
flipped it over and then spread it out before him.
It was just us girls.
Newly 24 year old pierced boy,
Chatting it up with a guy (that's me),
worked this same corner - when babe was 14.
He told me to slide,
and I asked if he meant my card?
He said: 2nd date before we go that far...
So how, I asked him, do I at least get a first?
He smiled and that was what slaked my thirst.
Because flirting is fun,
but it's hot when on top,
And the smile bright boy didn't ask me to stop,
Making things harder and easy at once -
Life's always better when you do your own stunts.
So I thank him for that,
I'm grateful & gay,
Even if webpage may scare him away...
Because moments like that make my life worth living...
And I hope what I got was worth what I was giving.

For Frank Lee Barcena-Turner,
(the disturbingly cute Meijer cashier)
Thanks for the smile.
