I met David online in early 2006, when he instant messaged me to let me know that he had seen my webpage, and recognized me from a random encounter in Ann Arbor, years before. David now lives in California, but lived in Ann Arbor when he was a student. We crossed paths at the downtown Borders store, where I was shopping with friends, while he was shyly checking out books, before we finally checked out each other. It was only a brief moment, but he never forgot it, which amuses me. I wrote about him shortly after that, and we've chatted several more times. This would all be a lot cooler if he still lived here, and was single...but maybe we'll live to be great friends. Who knows?
