ONE STRANGER'S KISS

She came to me that lonely night,

When hope was lost and gone from sight,

I know I'll always remember this,

The passion in one stranger's kiss.

I felt as though I was lost in space,

As I looked into that stranger's face,

Her eyes were filled with love and yet,

I sensed she had a sad regret.

I felt I'd met her long ago,

By what means I'll never know,

But I know I felt more love just then,

Than I had or ever would again.

While our hearts and minds intertwined,

She leaned and pressed her lips to mine,

And I hadn't known such calm, such bliss,

As I did in that one stranger's kiss.

As her lips met mine I touched her soul,

My mind roamed free...without control,

And I pulled her body next to mine,

As we swayed in the winds of space and time.

As her lips left mine I noticed there were tears in her eyes,

I felt sadness overtake me as I heard her say goodbye:

"In ages past you've shone me that your love for me is true,

remember me forever...and know that I love you."

Then in a flash of light she was gone without a trace,

And I was left alone with the memory of her face,

I truly don't know what to think or say or make of this...

I only know that love was born in one stranger's kiss.
