Got Michael to level 80 in Farm Town. Done. Finished. On the same level now.
Michael is sick. Mark sounds and feels sick, so probably is. I feel...ok. If I'm coming down with something, as I thought I might be, it's not as bad as what they have, yet. I guess Mollie is sick too. Ugh. Hopefully we'll all feel better soon.
Just watched the new Doctor Who. I was really hoping I'd love this episode, only I really didn't. To review the season thus far...
5x01 The Eleventh Hour ****
A great (but not perfect) continuation of the great (but not perfect) End of Time story, which I think is a great beginning with less than stellar special effects, but it manages to introduce a new Doctor, a new companion, several new recurring characters, a new TARDIS, a new Sonic Screwdriver, a new theme song / credits sequence / logo - and all without sucking. Pretty impressive.
5x02 The Beast Below **
An episode that clearly has the making of an average to great episode yet is undermined by sloppy editing & writing that leaves huge plot holes almost everywhere (plus there's this really annoying scene where a character spells out the meaning of what they just said for those too stupid to get it the first time).
5x03 Victory of the Daleks *
Crap. It's just crap. The Daleks have new colors. Who cares? And the trap they've set for the doctor is a robot who's a bomb who can't be detonated because he believes he's human? How stupid is this? I would have enjoyed this episode so much more if they'd just had the balls to let the guy blow up but a mediocre episode lost all credibility in that scene and became nearly unwatchable.
5x04 The Time of Angels [Part I] **
5x05 Flesh and Stone [Part II] **
The Weeping Angels are back only this time they have some really lame powers which were never mentioned before and a pointless storyline that makes no sense. River Song is back as well and her appearance does improve the episodes, but she's stuck in this crappy story - which does have moments that are pretty good, but it's all dragged down by nonsense. The season story arc involving the buttcrack of the universe would be cool except it's strung along through these not very good episodes. I'm hoping the series gets better, but 4 of these episodes were written by Steven Moffat (who had previously written only 5 star material) and so I'm losing faith in the series to pull out of this mess.

Ate cookies. They were good. Throwing them up has been far less fun. :-0(
Watched 4 episode of LOST; 10 episodes left in Season 5. It's coming very close to jumping the shark, but not quite. Very close though. I'm glad it's ending. I hope it ends well.
Michael had a HORRIBLE night at work. Very busy with very few workers, 1 new & 1 in a really bad mood who felt compelled to tell Michael the people that hate him and want to get him fired...and he's very sick.
In more crappy news, the 2nd season of Wolverine & the X-Men which I've been waiting over a year for and was at one time in active developement, has now come to screeching halt and looks unlikely to ever happen, yet there are many other fans who are hoping to get it back on the air or at least have some kind of direct to dvd movie that would resolve the cliffhanger nature of the finale.

I was just reading this page where people are GUSHING over how great the new season of Doctor Who is...and I can't understand how they can be that happy about it when it seems so obviously flawed to me.
I need to eat again soon. Wish me luck. I'm also gonna continue on with LOST as I have 28 episodes left (5 of which haven't aired yet) and only 21 days to see them all in. I do like the strangeness of the 5th Season, but it's very confusing, and I think it might be getting a part of the mythology wrong, but I'm afraid to look it up to find out as I might read a spoiler, which would suck now that I'm nearly finished with the series.

Talked to Mollie last night on the phone, and with her & Mark's help we worked out that the bit of Lost Mythology that I thought they'd maybe gotten wrong, was something that was confusing in the story and not a fuck up at all. Good.
I watched 4.5 more episodes this morning before pausing it and passing out.
Michael called me on his way to work but said he'd let me go back to sleep, which I did. I had strange dreams of family...and pizza. lol.
Mark apparently used some vick's vapor rub and is feeling a bit better than he thought he would. :-0) Anything that helps my guys feel better is very cool with me. I'll probably watch some more LOST today. I might even finish what I have of the series this week which would leave 4 episodes (3 broadcasts) to wait for, but considering the show ends in just 21 days, that's not long to wait, and I might even pace myself a little to decrease the wait time even further. Like if I finished on the 18th, that would be nice because there would be less than a week before the final 2 episodes aired. Or if it was just sometime after the 11th then I could say I only ever had to wait less than a week for a new episode.
I need to take my prilosec and harvest my farm.

I watched more LOST. I now have 3 episodes left in Season 5, which is still weird, but seems to be kicking ass. It kind of reminds me of the first season of HEROES when that show was good, and the way all the characters lives intersected, only LOST is still kicking ass. The part where it came close to jumping the shark seems to have passed and now only 21 episodes remain; 5 of which haven't aired yet. I'm only 9 episodes behind where Michael is on the show.
I'm looking forward to Mollie's reactions to LOST. She's seen Season 1 & most of Season 2 and she's had the same reactions that I did so far. I'm hoping that will continue and she'll find that Season 3 is a huge improvement on Season 2 and so on.
Michael and I talked on the phone again. He's having another horrible night at work again. I offered to go to his place and do some laundry and stuff for him but he turned me down.
I did the Farm Town thing.

Finished Season 5 of LOST. I have something to say about this but won't as Mollie reads my blog. What I can say is that I cried more in this episode than any episode since Season 3, though I don't expect that Mollie will have the same reaction.

I watched a special recap of seasons 1-5 of LOST then started the first episode of Season 6. Michael called after about 10 minutes, but I've seen enough to know it's NOT what I expected despite knowing something about the final season. Mollie will be pleased I think. Michael is home from work now; still sick but planning on eating and going to bed. He's finised both Wolverine & the X-Men AND Being Human, and is now finishing of Spartacus; he has about 6 episodes left I think. He then has Caprica & Season 5 of Heroes to watch.

I didn't finish that Lost episode. I'm thinking of slowing down my pace as to not get ahead of the series. I watched the new Brothers & Sisters / Desperate Housewives episodes; there are 2 more episodes of each series this season. I tried to sleep but I'm having trouble. I killed 3 spiders tonight, and spotted another one, which escaped in my room. So...I've got the spider jitters. :-0(

I watched a SVU episode this morning with Sharon Stone. Worked on my Farm Town. Talked to Michael on the phone and finally passed out. Woke up around 4:30pm I think. Called Michael to no answer; he's probably asleep on Niquil(?). I ate and finshed the first 2 episdoes of Season 6 of Lost (6x01-6x02 L.A. X, Parts I & II). I'm 11 episodes behind most of the rest of the world. I could catch up fairly easily but I'm trying to slow it down so I don't have to wait for episodes. If I watch 1 episode a day from here on out I'll have like 4 days to wait for the final 2 episodes.
I have a bit of a headache. I miss Michael. I'm a bit worried about my health benefits, which may or may not have been cancelled with the end of April. I simply don't know. I also need to contact my case worker for some advice...I'm just not sure how to do that and the whole process is stressful to me.
Mark's doctor's appointment went well. He's leaving to visit his twin brother Marcus on Wednesday and probably staying for a week. I'm a bit worried that if my benefits have been cancelled that I'll be completely screwed with him gone.
Basically I have stress and I'm trying to not let it get to me. This not seeing Michael to prevent me catching his illness isn't helping that either. I'm really missing him right now. :-0(

I spoke to Michael last night. I later slept after we texted goodnight. I slept from around 11pm - 2:30am. I worked on my farm. There's an annoying glitch in my game that won't let me refine more sugar or produce goat cheese even though I have have sugarcain and goat milk in my storage. Blah. I read some stuff online. I jacked off 3 times in the last 24 hours. Took lots of showers. Ate a few times. I need more groceries. I'm terrified that I might be losing my food assistance as that could very possibly screw me beyond the telling of it.

I rewatched the pilot for 'Nurse Jackie'. I watched the first 3 or 4 episodes when they first aired but then I missed 2 episodes and didn't want to skip ahead. Thanks to Mollie wanting them I now have all of Season 1 and everything that's aired of Season 2 but I've never jumped back in. I might watch it now. I also have to finish watching 'Secret Diary of a Call Girl' season 3, which I'm half way through. I also have all the available episodes of 'United States of Tara'. I enjoyed what I saw of 'Weeds' and I have 5 seasons of that. So many shows I'm behind on.

I rewatched 'Gia'. I've owned the uncut version on dvd for years but never watched that version. A lot more nudity (in a film already loaded with it), plus a lot more guy / guy stuff. Sad, sad story, but beautiful. I wonder if I love Juliet on LOST because I remembered her from this movie.

I finished 'Secret Diary of a Call Girl'; I hope there's another season. I can't believe I'm still awake. I'm sooooooooooooo tired.
I was about to go to sleep but Mark is pestering me to call my case worker. He's right that I should but I've never done it and don't the number...and I get freaked out just thinking of doing it. Ugh.

I did try to call but she didn't answer and her box was full. We tried faxing her but can't get through. We found on line that my food program has been cancelled. If I still have my health insurance, which I don't think I do, then I'll just reapply for food help. If my insurance is gone and I can't get it back I might as well get a job, which is what I wanted to do just a month ago, but was told not to for fear of losing my insurance.
I slept a few hours. My jaw felt fucked up when I woke (I blame the stress) so I took a muscle relaxer.
I jerked off and took a shower. I need to eat.Michael wants me to come over tonight to help him out, and I want to as well, only the muscle relaxer is kicking in now. I took it when I thought I wasn't leaving until the morning when I'm taking Mark to Toledo to catch his bus to Cinnci to visit Marcus.

Ended up passing out last night. Woke up around 5:30am. I downloaded the new LOST, V & Glee. I watched Glee while I ate. Did the Farm Town thing. Got ready to drive Mark out to Toledo where he'll get his bus. It's a free trip for him (his brother is kindly paying for him) and he really needs a vaction so I'm all for it. I just wish my life didn't seem to be falling apart while he was away.
I need to try to relax myself.
Spoke to Michael briefly and he said he's not mad at me for not coming over last night. It's hard for me to not over-analyze these things after his former behavior. Did he hook up with someone else last night? Probably not. It hurts that these thoughts are there even if I quickly shoot them down. I fear I'll never get back to the place I was before I learned the truth, when I could say I need time to myself or something to that effect, without worrying if he's off fucking 4 other guys. Perhaps it will come in time.
I'm tired. When I take a muscle relaxer it seems to hit me in waves, with me getting up and then going back to sleep. If I wasn't taking Mark to Toledo I'd so go back to sleep right now.
I took out the trash & plastics. I'm doing the dishes. I'm doing laundry. I made my bed. I'm not being completely lazy.

Mark drove us to the bus station in Toledo. We said our goodbyes. I drove home (stopping at Kroger for some groceries - I now have about $20 left on my card). Went to bed. Woke up to phone call from Michael on his way home from work about 6:15. Had strange dreams...of a place I've dreamt of many times before. Went back to sleep with a slight headache. Woke up around NOW and feel a bit better. Need to eat.

Ate after the last entry. Shaved and showered. Went to Michael's to 'give him a helping hand' then to the gas station together so he could get me some gas while he got cigarettes. Said goodnight and came home. Chatted with Jamie Atkinson & Mollie Baker. I posted a poem on Shawn Foreman's Facebook page, as it was written for him 10 years ago today. That's CRAZY. Spoke on the phone with Michael briefly. Now heading to bed I think.

Emptied the dishwasher of clean dishes; put the few dirty ones in. I have clothes in the washer and dryer. I cleaned some dirty spots on my ceiling (mostly where I squashed spiders), and put the books that were on my floor on the shelf. I also burned 2 discs for Michael.

Doing more laundry; 1 load in dryer; last load in washer. I ate. I took my vitamins (E & B6); Mark would be proud. I burned a 3rd disc for Michael; the first 2 contain movies (3 per disc); the 3rd disc is kind of a tv sampler to see if he likes any of the shows. The shows on the 3rd disc include the first 2 episodes of Wonderfalls, and the first 4 episodes of Nurse Jackie, Secret Diary of a Call Girl, Weeds & United States of Jackie. I'm not sure he'll like any of them and if he doesn't I won't give him any more of those. But if he does I have all 13 episodes of Wonderfalls, all 24 episodes of Secret Diary (plus a special), all current episodes of Nurse Jackie & United States (19 apiece) & all 5 seasons of Weeds.

There are rumors that Darkseid may be the villain in Season 10 of Smallville. Not sure how I feel about that. I am however excited that several heroes will be returning in the 9th Season Finale, including Martian Manhunter, Cyborg, Black Canary, Hawkman & Stargirl. I'm hoping they bring Dr. Fate back at some point as I thought he was translated extremely well. The Legion, Zatanna, Flash & Aquaman would also be welcome to return.

Planted my farm with 2 day, 3 day & 4 day crops. Probably stay at Michael's until Saturday, though I don't have any food there at the moment.
Mark called to check on me. He'd had a nightmare about me going to the hospital cause I couldn't stop throwing up. I've not had much of a problem with that in the last 24 hours though ;-0)
I'm feeling sleepy. Possibly because I ate. I want to make sure I get my last load of laundry in the dryer before I take a nap though.

Final load of laundry is still drying. I ate and watched an episode of 'Designing Women' that I downloaded. I clipped my fingernails and packed some clothes for when I go to Michael's. I just have to make a few more preperations for that and I'll be basically done for the day. I just have to meet Michael at his place around 7:30pm I think.

Went to Michael's Thursday night. We took some pictures. Chilled. Fucked. Slept FOREVER. Friday we got groceries; ate, fucked and watched LOADS of tv. I got Michael hooked on 'Secret Diary of a Call Girl', 'Weeds', 'United States of Tara' & 'Wonderfalls'. I'm sure he'll be hooked on 'Nurse Jackie' once he's seen it. Went to bed around midnight. Been up since 3am. Michael left for work around 7am I think, and I was on my way home by 8am. I'll probably be going back to Michael's tonight as he has the evening free and doesn't have to work until 3pm tomorrow.
I talked to Mark yesterday. He's actually coming home on Monday with his father so I won't have to pick him up or anything. Nick talked to me on the phone; he's so cute.
I keep thinking it's Sunday. I thought yesterday was Saturday.
I'm downloading Smallville & Vampire Diaries. I'm sleepy.

I shaved & showered after the last entry. I also burned another disc for Michael holding the rest of Season 1 of 'Nurse Jackie', 'Secret Diary of a Call Girl', 'United States of Tara', 'Weeds' + 5 or 6 more episodes of Wonderfalls. Then the power flickered and I couldn't access any more of the tv shows. I managed to download Smallville, Doctor Who, K-9 & Vampire Diaries, but the only episodes available for Vampire Diaries had German subtitles. I packed pants. I had a shake & some toast. I set my alarm clocck for 4:30pm and went to sleep. Michael called me later but heard I was asleep and said to go back to sleep. I woke up around 8:30pm. I called Michael and apologised...explaining that the power went out again and fucked up my alarm clock. He was cool with it, and said the same thing happened at his place. He let me go to watch 'Heroes' so I could sort out my slight headache and get my ass over there. lol

Went to Michael's just after the last entry. He was watching 'Heroes'. We ate and played Wii Mario Brothers. He watched some Nurse Jackie and we went to bed. I had a hard time sleeping; not exactly nightmares when I did sleep, but kind of recurring annoying visions; stuck in a loop. Michael went to work. I came home. Had a shake. Worked on Farm Town which has been updated again. Talked to Mark & Michael on the phone. Watched the new Doctor Who, "The Vampires of Venice" (way better than the previous 4 episodes, but still not perfect, I give it 3 stars).
Think I'm going to sleep now.

New Who Season 5:
01 The Eleventh Hour ****
02 The Beast Below **
03 Victory of the Daleks *
04 The Time of Angles **
05 Flesh and Stone **
06 The Vampires of Venice ***If we could just have the rest of the season be 3 star average kind of episodes I'd be happy with that at this point.

I worked on my website on Monday. I talked to Michael. I talked to Mark. I slept. When Mark got home from his trip I had a horrible headache and was laying down in the dark. I slept more. Worked on my Doctor Who page. I have the first half of Season 31 figured out. I'm sure of it. It's perfect. But the 2nd half looks to be somewhat more troublesome, and will be impossible to finish at least until Sarah Jane airs it's 4th Season this fall, and possibly not until November (if there's a mini-episode) or December (if the Christmas Special is related). Still. I feel good about what I did figure out. I might post an entry explaining why I think this order works...but not now.
I need more groceries, but we're extremely broke I think. This worries me. A lot. If I've lost my insurance than it's finally time to look for a job. If I've not lost my insurance than it's time to reapply for food assisstance. We'll see what happens next.

Rewatched "The Eleventh Hour" and still think it's an amazing episode of Who. It's a shame that the episodes that followed were so lame. I'm planning on rewatching those episodes as well, in hopes that I'll enjoy them more, though in truth, I've seen the next episodes 3 times already and all those extra times just revealed all the plot holes that rushed by me the first time. Hopefully the other episodes will get slightly better?

Did a lot of stuff yesterday. Tried Red Bull. Found out I still have insurance which is good because I need it, but sucks because I miss working and if I work I lose the insurance; it's fucked up. Went to Meijer, 2 banks, Kroger & Hiller's with Mark. Got all the new stuff on Farm Town. Talked to Michael. Talked to DJ. Talked to my Mom. Watched the new Glee. Downloaded the new LOST & V. Slept from 6pm-Midnight. Chatted. Read the news. Ate.
I may take a nap.
Just read the description for an upcoming Trek book which might be cool. It's one of 4 'Typhon Pact' books coming in late 2010 / early 2011; there's this one, a DS9 one, a Titan one & a Next Generation one. This volume has enough DS9 stuff in it to please me though:
STAR TREK: TYPHON PACT – Zero Sum Game
A spy for the Typhon Pact — a new political rival of the Federation — steals the plans for Starfleet's newest technological advance: the slipstream drive. To stop the Typhon Pact from unlocking the secrets of slipstream drive, Starfleet Intelligence recruits a pair of genetically enhanced agents: Dr. Julian Bashir, of station Deep Space 9; and Sarina Douglas, a woman whose talents Bashir helped bring to fruition, and who Bashir thinks of as his long-lost true love.
Bashir and Douglas are sent to infiltrate the mysterious species known as the Breen, find the hidden slipstream project, and destroy it. Meanwhile, light-years away, Captain Ezri Dax and her crew on the U.S.S. Aventine play a dangerous game of cat-and-mouse with a Typhon Pact fleet that stands between them and the safe retrieval of Bashir and Douglas from hostile territory.
Here's the cool cover art:

I didn't sleep until Michael got here last night. We both must have been beat because we slept over 12 hours. I had odd dreams about the end of LOST and getting sucked into the land of Narnia...also baking cookies. Very odd. Michael left this morning without us having done much of anything. He's working at the census B today, just a few blocks from where this guy lives that Michael cheated on me with; the guy who eventually told me the truth. It's left me kind of bummed, though I know nothing is going on there now.
Blah.

Went to Michael's last night. We fucked frantically and joyously. We went to his census employer's home, which was beatiful (and filled inside & out with all manner of decorative frogs), and located just a block or two from Tony Glassman's former digs (back when I was seeing him in 94); so many FUN memories from that neighborhood. We went to Kroger and Little Caesars. We went back to Michael's and we watched 'Imagine Me & You', which I had seen once years ago and thought was cute...and it still was. We played Mario Brothers. I tried butterscotch ice cream topping, which was sinfully delicious on my soy ice cream. I tried Strawberry Crush, which was VERY strawberry tasting, which was interesting to me, as grape flavored stuff never really tastes like grapes...but this stuff was very strawberry tasting. Later there was bed with much sleep. Today we finished off Season 1 of Secret Diary of a Call Girl. I gave him a wank. We fed the new baby ducks and geese. Michael left for work and I took a cat nap. I also did his dishes; took out his trash; put some more dirty dishes in the washer (after emptying the clean dishes and putting those away); made his bed and dropped off a perscription of his on my way home. I just did the Farm Town thing. I should get some stuff ready for my case worker but I have until Monday and it's absolutely gorgeous out...so I might skip that for now in favor of a walk. I also have to go drop something off for a friend. I'm having a good day so far.

More Doctor Who titles have been confirmed; we now know (for sure) the titles of 11 of 13 episodes this season (not including the Christmas Special or any bonus episodes that may or may not be a part of the season). Here's how they rate so far:
01 The Eleventh Hour [Part III] ****
02 The Beast Below **
03 Victory of the Daleks *
04 The Time of Angels [Part I] **
05 Flesh & Stone [Part II] **
06 The Vampires of Venice ***Unaired:
07 Amy's Choice
08 The Hungry Earth [Part I]
09 Cold Blood [Part II]
10 Vincent and the Doctor
11 The Lodger12 The Pandorica Opens (rumored title)
13 The Big Bang (rumored title)
13 Enemies of the Doctor (rumored title)All of these episodes are part of what I deem to be Season 31 of the Whoniverse. Other installments include the post Season 30 Doctor Who Specials, Torchwood: Children of Earth, and Sarah Jane Seasons 2-4. I have the first 30 or so installments worked out in such a way that I'm very pleased with, where stories from Sarah Jane, Doctor Who & Torchwood all seem to be bouncing off of one another. But there are about 30 other episodes that I won't be sure of until possibly the last week of 2010. I'll post my listing of those in my next entry, explaining them, but I have to run now. Be back later. ;-0)

I so don't expect anyone to read this entry.
Ok. Where was I? Doctor Who. Or Doctor Whoniverse to be more precise. Season 31 of the Wnoniverse is proving to be quite interesting, having come off from a 3 part Doctor Who finale which wrapped up not just Doctor Who for the Season, but Torchwood & The Sarah Jane Adventures as well. A huge crossover that I've never seen the like of in other shared universes like Buffy / Angel, Six Millon Dollar Man / Bionic Woman, Hercules / Xena. I always loved crossovers like those, but this one was EPIC, and actually felt like the 3 shows were integrating naturally; it didn't feel forced to me. Nice. My point of bringing all this up is that in said massive finale, The 10th Doctor travels with just about ever companion he's had in the last 4 years (and one or two even older than that) and then in the end is left traveling all on his own, having just lost his friends, the love of his recent life and his best friend to boot. Sad. This fact (and the nature of the production of the show, in which Doctor Who took a year off) help to shape the first 30 or so episodes of Season 31...because as the Doctor travels on his own with no companion, we are denied as an audience, the connection with the Doctor that we would prefer to have...because in a very real sense, the audience is the Doctor's companion.
Onwards.
Oh. Another thing. You might ask...why would a season of the Whoniverse involve only 1 short season of Torchwood, 1 season & a handful of specials for Doctor Who, but 3 seasons of Sarah Jane. Well, some of it has to do with story, and how some stories HAVE to take place before or after others. And then part of it is also, that the Whoniverse always centers on the Doctor, who is a time traveler, so while one season for him might be very short, for everyone not traveling with him and 'stuck on the slow path' a lot more time would have transpired. That's how it works in my my head anyways.
Ok.
Here we go.
Doctor Whoniverse: Season 31
31x01 Day of the Clown 1
31x02 Day of the Clown 2
31x03 Secrets of the Stars 1
31x04 Secrets of the Stars 2SJA episodes 2x03-2x06. These episodes aren't overly impressive and they don't need to be. The season starts off small and builds. These episodes feature the introduction of new main character Rani & her recurring parents. As a bonus we get a cameo flashback appearance of the 10th Doctor in 'Secrets, Part I'.
31x05 The Next Doctor
Touching base with the lonely traveling Doctor we have this little average adventure which is referenced later in the season as part of a much larger story. The scene in which all 10 Doctors are seen seems to be a minor theme in the season as it features several other call-backs to Doctors past.
31x06 Mark of the Berserker, Part 1
31x07 Mark of the Berserker, Part 2
31x08 The Temptation of Sarah Jane Smith 1
31x09 The Temptation of Sarah Jane Smith 2The Trickster & his Graske (seen previously in 'What Ever Happened To Sarah Jane?") reappear in the latter 2 episodes, with the Graske being released. These 2 episodes also mention / reference the Doctor.
31x10 Music of the Spheres
A Doctor Who mini episode featuring a Graske (possibly the one seen in the previous episode); this is where Sarah Jane & Doctor Who start to feel more connected.
31x11 From Raxicoricofallapatorius With Love
A Sarah Jane mini to mirror the previous Doctor mini.
31x12 Enemy of the Bane 1
31x13 Enemy of the Bane 2A special 2 parter of Sarah Jane that brings back Season 30 villains Mrs. Wormwood and the Sontarran Kaage...it also features the return of Classic Who recurring character The Brig, who was a Companion to the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th & 7th Doctors.
31x14 Planet of the Dead
The 2009 Easter Special for Who introduces the a prophecy that will reach fruition midway through the season.

Didn't sleep well. Had nightmares. I'm tired and my belly is upset. :-0(
Talked to Bryan last night. He went to Detroit comicon yesterday with DJ and ran into Janel. Nice! He also said Tim is running Stadium Hollywood Video now (the only one still in business). Maybe I'll drop by there now and say hello.
I can't concentrate on anything at the moment. I've been awake for like 7 hours and it's a complete haze to me; I can't... I read. I ate. Other than that...what did I do?

The nap is what I needed; feeling much better now, though I'm still in some pain. Blah. Tried calling Michael but he didn't answer; thinking he's asleep again.
New Wachowskis movie in the works. These people made LGBT inclusive movies like the superb lesbian thriller "Bound", the often brilliant yet uneven "The Matrix Trilogy", & the sublime "V for Vendetta". The new movie is said to be an extremely graphic gay love story between a US Soldier and an Iraqui citizen with some sci-fi overtones. Awesome. Looking forward to it.
For those reading this that don't remember "The Matrix Trilogy" as being LGBT inclusive (something I doubt anyone could have missed in "Bound" or "V For Vendetta in which the Gay / Lesbian characters were central) then I offer this evidence:
The Matrix:
At a goth rock party near the beginning of the film, two women can be seen suggestively moving near one another. It's not much, I'll grant you, but it stuck out for me the first time I saw the film.
If that was all I had then I'd not say they were exactly inclusive, but there's more.
The Matrix Reloaded:
In the Matrix Reloaded, during the celebration in Zion there are several graphic shots of girl on girl dancing that appears to be sexual in nature. These characters are human and are being portrayed as the good guys:
That's hard to ignore. There was also a Matrix game released around this time which featured scenes not included in the movies but with the same actors; one scene involved a girl on girl kiss. But there's still more.
The Matrix Revolutions:
During the battle in Zion there is a character who appears to be (sterotypically speaking) a lesbian. She dies without any proof that she is, but the sterotypical lesbian dies fighting for humanity. Also, we see some gay programs in the machine world with another girl / girl dancing couple...
But there is also, finally a boy on boy kiss that cements the trilogy's inclusiveness if you ask me.
Of course all of this happens in the background, but I think it's still a positive portrayal that was cool to be included in an awesome Sci-Fi Trilogy. What do you think?
Stumbled on this graphic music video this morning. I like it.
Downloading some Classic Who. Wish I could find all those old spin-offs that I've not seen. The new episode hasn't been posted yet.

Washed up and went to that party with Mark, who was also invited. Had a blast! Though later Michael was upset with me for being so flirtatious. He's also been upset for ages about the naked pictures on my website, and I've taken them down now. They're still around, just in a secret location. We talked things out last night and are in a good place I think. We left the party and went to Michael's place, the 3 of us. We chilled for a bit and Mark went home while Michael & I played Mario Bros. We got to our condo around 3am I think and went to bed, or Michael did. I ate and worked on my computer; organizing some Whoniverse stuff and fixing my site. Went to bed soon after. Slept. Got up early but cuddled with Michael until he had to leave to get ready for work. I was going to take more pictures today but had forgotton the camera at Michael's...and then fell asleep after eating...now there won't be time to get the light. Oh. Also got my food assitance back in working order and my insurance is also sorted so I should be good through the end of April 2011, assuming I don't find some miracle job that takes care of all this.
I'm thinking of watching the 13 7th Doctor Serials; I've not seen all of them before. That way I'll have seen all of the 7th-11th Doctors. I watched the new 11th Doctor episode today ("Amy's Choice"); I found it average; nothing special though I nearly cried in it...but after episodes that I loathed it again feels good to have average type episodes. The next 2 bring back the Silurians in some form, then there's an episode about Vincent van Gogh, another based on a comic strip (originally about 10 & Rose), and then the 2 part finale. I also got 3 more K-9 episodes and I think 2 more might be posted sometime today.
I still need to go get my camera as I promised Michael I'd unplug his computer.

The place I usually get my tv shows from (and where Mark gets his) is down for the next 3 days. This SUCKS. The finales to 'Brothers & Sisters', 'Desperate Housewives', & 'V' are all on in that time. There are also new installments of 'K-9', 'Nurse Jackie', 'United States of Tara', 'Glee' & 'LOST'. When the site goes back up we'll have less gigs than we're used to (we've been rather spoiled the last year or so) and I'll need all those episodes, plus Doctor Who on Saturday & the LOST finale on Sunday. After that there will be less shows I'll need as 4 of them will be ended for the summer (with LOST gone for good). 'Nurse Jackie' & 'United States of Tara' both have 3 more weeks of episodes (but they're half hour format will help), as does 'Glee'. That leaves 'Graham Norton', 'Doctor Who' & 'K-9' which should end in June / July I think. Though 'True Blood' returns in June & 'The Closer' returns in July - it should be a much lighter summer. I was supposed to give a new TV disc to Michael (featuring the Tuesday night episodes of Glee & V) on Wednesday but depending on when the site is back up that may be impossible now. Anyways, I was hoping that my lighter downloading needs would help with our dilemma but we've apparently already reached the crisis point. Oh well. Fuck. I also need the most recent SVU episode. :-0(
Well I'm dressed. Thinking of going to Michael's to get the camera, unplug the computer and then maybe go to Whole Foods to stock up on Groceries as I have about $70 for this week's grocries...far more than I've had in the last month.

I went to Michael's and got the camera. I also ate the last of the soy ice cream I had there, with the butterscotch topping. I unplugged Michael's computer then set off for Whole Foods...only I started getting a migrain so I ordered food for me & Mark at Little Caesars (except with the pain I actually forget to get my food); took Mark's food home to him while popping some midrin. I had 3 sticks of his bread. The headache will hopefully subside; it already feels a bit better.

Sunday night I started reading 'A Time To Die', a Star Trek: The Next Generation novel; the 2nd in a series of 9 that cover the year leading up to the 10th Trek movie: "Star Trek: Nemesis". I'd read the first one years ago and started the 2nd but never finished it (because it's pretty crappy). I feel no shame in admitting I jumped ahead a hundred pages (skimming for details) and finally finished it last night before starting the next one "A Time To Sow". I'm trying to read more of the Trek books I've not read that I own.
I slept on & off Sunday night and Monday morning; I just felt out of it. I had a headache on and off, and my jaw & neck were bothering me. I eventually got up and went grocery shopping on my way to Michael's. I tried Green Tea ice cream (not a fan), and I had kiwi / strawberry mix which was yummy. I had some mushrooms too. Later I had silk and toast. I played Super Mario Brothers with Michael before going to bed. Michael left in the morning for work and I slept until 10:30am (having taken a muscle relaxant that helped with my jaw / neck). I got up, ate, started the next Trek book, took a short nap (eating makes me tired because of my meds) then went to Kroger & Rite Aid on my way home.
I read the news...read e-mail...did some Facebook stuff. I might shave and shower and go back to Michael's but I'm not sure yet.
So they've confirmed the title to episode 12 of Season 5 of New Who (5x12 The Pandorica Opens). That just leaves the finale, the Christmas Special and any bonus episodes in between unconfirmed.
I guess I'm not doing the shower thing as Mark just got in. Erg.

While waiting for Mark to finish his shower I passed out for several hours of lovely dreams. When I take my muscle relaxer, which is a tiny little pill, even after I've slept and I feel awake, if I lay down, I often sleep for a long period of time. Still, I'm not gonna fret about that today.

Watched the 'Brothers & Sisters' finale online and I'm a bit shaken. A character died that I knew was leaving the show but I'd been led to believe that he'd be a recurring character. Another, shockingly, tested HIV+; so sad for that character but his story is one I've seen in real life; it really moved me. The finale was much better than last season's, yet the beginning of this one felt like it was written badly so I didn't expect it to be good; was that intentional?
Michael called while I was watching it to say goodnight. We're planning on me spending tomorrow night at his place so I can be at the apartment when a guy will come round to spray his balcony to keep the bees away...which I totally support as a bee sting could kill me.
So, done with 'Brothers & Sisters' for the season. Still have plenty to watch.

I stayed up late watching 'LOST'; I watched 4 episodes. I have 12 episodes left, including last night's (which I don't have yet) and Sunday's 2-Part finale. I've seen the same number as Michael; something which I've not been able to say in several months as he jumped ahead of me instead of waiting so we could watch it together.
I've read a rumor that a gaggle of Whoniverse aliens will be in this year's finale including WEEVILS(from 'Torchwood')! How cool would that be? I never thought we'd see a Weevil again, and I was fine with that, but seeing them on Who is a completely different thing. The other rumored aliens include Daleks, Cybermen, Sycorax, Silurians & Judoon. The Torchwood crossover news makes me wish they'd added some Sarah Jane aliens as well; The Bane? The Trickster? Something along those lines. I've also heard elsewhere that the Sontarans appear as well. Sontarans & Judoon have both appeared on Sarah Jane, while Daleks have been mentioned and appeared in drawings. Autons have also been rumored to appear, and I've seen mentions of rumors (which I'm not sure I trust) that suggest that Pilot Fish, Hoix & Ogrons are appearing as well. We'll see. OOH! This just in! IT looks like there may also be Blowfish from Torchwood & Kudlak from SARAH JANE!!! :-0) The Hoix has been seen on Who & Torchwood.
Ok. Trying not to get ahead of myself here. Confirmed returning aliens / characters in the Who Finale:
11
Autons
Daleks (new variety)
Cybermen (Cybus)
Judoon
Amy Pond
Roman Soldiers
Rory
SontaransAll but confirmed:
Blowfish
Hoix
Pilot Fish (robot face / black robe)
Silurians (Eldane, Alaya & Restac?)
Sycorax
Uvodni (Kudlak's race)
Weeping Angels
WeevilsMentioned but later denied:
Hath (that's fine; the Hath have already appeared twice in Season 31)It also seems that the 13th episode (the finale) has been confirmed to be called "The Big Bang".

Also, about the Doctor Who finale, a character named Madame Vernet appears; she first appears in 'Vincent & the Doctor'. Sounds like lots of continuity in the finale. Here's hoping it works out.
5x01 The Eleventh Hour ****
5x02 The Beast Below **
5x03 Victory of the Daleks *
5x04 The Time of Angels [Part I] **
5x05 Flesh & Stone [Part II] **
5x06 The Vampires of Venice ***
5x07 Amy's Choice ***
5x08 The Hungry Earth [Part I]
5x09 Cold Blood [Part II]
5x10 Vincent and the Doctor
5x11 The Lodger
5x12 The Pandorica Opens [Part I]
5x13 The Big Bang [Part II]I've downloaded all my shows. I'll need the SVU finale tonight, then Doctor Who on Saturday, LOST on Sunday, United States of Tara & Nurse Jackie on Monday, Glee on Tuesday and then back to Doctor Who on Saturday...etc. It's too bad we have a limited amout of downloades, but lucky for us many of my shows are ending (SVU, Glee, United States of Tara, Nurse Jackie, LOST) or have ended (Brothers & Sisters, Desperate Housewives, V, Vampire Diaries, Secret Diary of a Callgirl, Smallville) for the season. Doctor Who still has 6 more weeks. True Blood will begin before Who ends. The Closer returns in July.

So I'm hearing rumors that the Doctor Who finale will have a cliffhanger ending leading into the Christmas Special. That gives Season 31 61 episodes (assuming there are no more special episodes and that all of Season 4 of Sarah Jane is included - which I won't know until it's aired this Fall - probably September - Decmeber). Erg. So, I won't be sure of how they all fit together until the end of this year. As it stands I'm pretty sure about the first 35 installments, which include 5 Torchwood episodes, 9 Doctor Who installments, and 21 Sarah Jane episodes. It sounds like a lot of Sarah Jane (and it is) but you have to remember that 2 episodes of Sarah Jane are just slightly longer than an average episode of Torchwood or Doctor Who, and that 6 of those Doctor Who episodes are longer than average episodes, while all 5 Torchwood episodes are also longer than average, so it's not as unbalanced as you'd expect. Plus The Doctor appears in at 3 of the episodes and his show is referenced in several others.

So...I've been reading a lot of Star Trek books in the last few years. I'd been reading the post-series-DS9 books as they were far superior (to my way of thinking) than the Next Generation / Voyager / Enterprise books, whose storylines were beholden to the continuity of their shows, which continued to air or be released theatrically. Then something changed. Voyager ended. Nemesis was the last Next Gen movie. Enterprise was cancelled. Suddenly all these shows were being rebooted in kick ass book series with a shared continuity that actually allowed for major consequences. New Frontier (which actually came first), Titan, S.C.E. & Vanguard followed. I've read a couple of the Voyager ones, which were ok. A few of the Next Gen ones, which were pretty good. I've read all the New Frontier series (which is EXCELLENT). I'm 1 behind on DS9. I'm 2 behind on Titan. I'm way behind on S.C.E. and I've yet to touch Vanguard, though not for lack of interest (I own all of them). For now I'm backtracking and reading the titles that started this new continuity. A 9 book Next Gen series set before (and then slightly after) Star Trek: Nemesis. There are 4 Voyager books that are set before them, but I've read the first 3.5 and chose to skip the rest for now. I've read the first 2 books of this Next Gen series and I pretty much loathed them. I've started the next one which I'm already enjoying more. Here are the covers of the 9 book "A Time To..." series:
There's also another Next Gen title here that I've neglected to read as I've hated all previous books by this author but I may get around to it at some point:
I have read the next 5 Next Gen titles (which feature some crossover with the other series). And I've read the first few Titan Novels which are a Next Gen spin-off. I've also read the first 2 Voyager books that kind of begin this leg of Star Trek continuity.
Other books that I hope to read that take place in this kind of cycle of continuity include:
This fall, DS9 (which contributed to the Desiny Trilogy) gets in on the act with 2 volumes, the first of which should be out in late October:
So endeth my rant.

So...about the last entry, I decided after posting all that, that I'm gonna go back and read this entire section of new continuity again...or at least skim through everything I've read while reading everything I haven't, in order. Cause I'm crazy like that. lol.
I watched 'Spin The Bottle' last night:
It's a low budget queer themed movie from my LGBT DVD collection that I've watched once a year since I bought it (probably around 2004?). I like it. I then started watching the special features, including the writer / director commentary which I got over half way through before I went to sleep around 5am I think.
I dreamed about monsters. Zombies. Serial killers. Gross stuff. Yet it didn't freak me out so much as leave me mildly amused. All of this was tied into the Carpenter Road Meijer (Store #27) somehow. lol
I woke. Did some stuff online. Called Michael, who wasn't feeling well. Mark isn't feeling well either and is in bed with a horrible migrain. I gave him 2 midrin, a bucket, an icepack, and closed his door for him. I hope he & Michael will be ok.
I just happened on an old e-mail to Jeremy in which I confess that I just had sex with Mark. This was in August of 2006. In the message I somehow knew it had been 3 years and 5 days since I'd last had sex with Mark. That seems like a long time, yet it's been longer than that now. Funny.
I'm probably chilling with Michael later tonight. We were originally going to Necto, but that doesn't seem to be the case now, which is fine.
There's a new Doctor Who on tomorrow; the first of a 2-parter that features the return of classic Who villains The Silurians.

Friday night with Michael was fun. Mario. Meijer. Smallville. Sleep. We finished Season 9 of Smallville Saturday afternoon. The coming Season 10 will be the last for the series and I expect that's a good thing. It's not a great show but it's entertaining. The last 2 seasons were an improvment on Season 7; I'm hoping they can keep the momentum they've built through the end of their final season.
Late Saturday, Michael had to drop some papers off at Census coworker's home; he left me in the car for nearly a half hour in the summer heat. I was annoyed but kept it under wraps. We went to Game Stop & Barnes & Noble. They didn't have the Trek book I wanted and I don't have enough cash to be spending money on the magazines I wanted so I was sad about that. I didn't bring any shorts with me and the heat was really getting to me.
Michael asked where I wanted to go next. Then told me how saw a billboard that said that the last Ann Arbor Hollywood Video (my former store) was closing down by the end of the month. I got very emotional and said I wanted to go there. Michael mocked me for nearly crying over a business closing, but for me it was like closing the coffin on what had been the best job I've ever had, which was where I developed a family of friends (coworkers and customers alike) that I dearly love, still miss and dream about. We argued. He drove me back to his place instead. I apologised and we kind of worked it out - he's very, very stressed about his life right now, and knowing that made it easier to calm down...though the heat in his apartment wasn't helping. I headed home.
I watched the new Doctor Who (5x08 The Hungry Earth" [Part I]), which was the 3rd episode in a row that didn't suck, yet wasn't great...and that's fine, because the 4 episodes before those 3 were all pretty terrible. I'm slighly hopeful that I'll enjoy the rest of the season and that the new Sarah Jane Adventures (which I'm hearing more about and will be part of this season as well) will be cool.
I slept for a few hours.
I was getting a headache. I took two midrin and later a 3rd. They didn't help. I watched "Milk", which I enjoyed, though the headache was really bothering me. Then I learned that Mark was mad at me for not going back to Michael's because he needed my computer for a project he was working on. He said that I lied to him about being away for the weekend, but I didn't know that I was gonna fight with Michael or that I'd be in so much pain I couldn't see straight - I gave him the use of my computer for 8 hours (though that didn't end up working) and I hit the wall a lot. I was stressed and angry and upset and the pain in my head nearly sent me to the emergency room. But then I remember that I had some Imitrex and took that with Motrin; took a long HOT shower; laid down in the dark and about an hour later it was mostly gone. I soooo need to see my doctor about a perscription for Imitrex now that I can take it again. I slept.
I decided the other day that despite of that huge list of Star Trek books I wanted to read, that I should really add a few more to the pile so I started reading 'The Never-Ending Sacrifice'.
Despite the beautiful cover and the subject matter (Cardassians), which I love, and despite this being 1 of 2 post DS9 stories that I hadn't read, I'd put off reading this entry for almost a year because the author (Una McCormack) had written another Cardassian themed Trek book which I loathed ("Hollow Men") and the other DS9 Relaunch story I'd not read. Thankfully, I'm enjoying this one a lot more and plan on reading the other DS9 title next, before diving into the new Trek continuity that begins with the Voyager Relaunch. This means that the next book I'll be reading is this one:
I feel much better today. Less stressed. I'm choosing not to stress over about $700.00 that Mark didn't get because of a missed call. I'm giving him $500 that he just gave me to help cover the damage...which means I have to watch my spending again...with no money for gas or to send Mollie tv discs...or to get the new Trek books. That part SUCKS. But I know it could be worse. Mark & I are getting along again. I think we both realized that we were just under so much stress yesterday that it was making life suck...but we're passed that now. Michael & I seem to be getting on better too; I'll know more in a few days. I had planned to have a LOST marathon last night to prepare me for the finale tonight, but that was cancelled because of my lack of a computer...I could have watched them downstairs but I really hate hanging out in our living room for some reason...and I loathe using the computer downstairs as the TV / Monitor is so large that I find it hard to focus on anything I'm doing. So it looks like I won't be finishing LOST tonight after all, though I might in the morning or later this week. I just hope nobody spoils it for me.
I'm playing Farm Town. I shaved and showered. Mark suggested we go take pictures but he's sleeping now and I don't want to disturb him. We'll see what happens next.

Done with Farm Town for tonight. My book continues to be good, though I believe I've found an unfortunate flaw that would probably not be noticed by anyone not as familiar with Trek as I am...so I'm trying to ignore it.

I was up past 6am. Woke up once to the phone; Michael letting me know we won't be going to PRIDE this year. I've never been; I'm starting to think I never will. I woke up the 2nd time when Mark asked if I wanted to go to his doctor's appointment, which I did want to do, but I was so tired. I woke up a bit later to Mark choking (he's fine), but I stumbled toward the door and the light that came in knocked me on my ass (seriously); it was then that the migrain hit full force. I did the Imitrex / Motrin thing again. Hope it works.
It's beginning to sound like the reports that Sarah Jane would be filming all of Season 4 & then some of Season 5 this year are just a cover for them filming a special installment after 4 is done...which makes sense with a lot that I've heard previously. I have heard really good things about the first 3 stories of Sarah Jane next year...plus a potentially pretty good thing about the finale. I hope the other 2 stories & the special are awesome too.

Worked out some Who stuff. Showered & shaved. Went to Hollywood Video with Mark; weird to see them closing. I bought some cheap deals on some gay titles. Took some pictures. Tim wasn't working so I'm gonna try to stop by to see him tomorrow; he works from 3pm - close. Went to the post office. Went to the TCF bank. Went to Kroger / Chase Bank. Went to Little Caesars and came home.
I thought I found a flaw in my Doctor Who order, but I've worked out how it's not a problem at all. You could argue it either way, but there's enough leeway that my preferred order works. Yay! :-0)

The pizza from the last entry was divine, until a few hours later when it all came back up. My stomach just refuses to digest pizza and I don't know why. I still eat it once or twice a year though because I love it so much...it's just really disgusting a few hours later. Ugh.
Went to Michael's last night and kissed him goodnight. Picked up some food that I left there and hit Kroger's for a bit more and came home. Chilled. Watched some Sarah Jane. Took some pictures. Later I shaved and gothed out. Went to Necto with Mark. Had fun, though the music mostly sucked. I got to see friends. Made some new friends. Took some pictures before and a ton more after. It was all good, and so cool to see Mark at the bar!! And so great to come home from the bar and NOT smell like smoke!!!!
I spent the next hour or two getting the pictures sorted and uploaded to Facebook. I posted a message of love to Michael's page. Wished people happy birthday. Commented. Farm Town. The usual Facebook stuff.
I was just getting ready to make a shake and rewatch some Who episodes when Michael texted, asking if I was awake. I called him and talked about the Doctor Who he'd watched yesterday and told him about the bar with Mark. He said he had to go and when I asked if anythihng was wrong he freaked out saying his boyfriend had gone to the bar and hit on 2 guys (the friends I made). I told him I didn't hit on them and that I didn't think of them that way at all...and that Mark was there the whole time and to ask him...and that I definitely didn't flirt with them. He let me go.
Mark was shocked by the news and told me to not let it bother me; that I did nothing wrong. I know this, yet I can't stop shaking.
Michael just texted me saying "Sorry it bothers me".
I texted back that I'm sorry it bothers him too because I did absolutely nothing wrong. I took Mark to the club to meet girls. I saw friends. I made friends. I flirted with not a soul.
He texted back that he knows I didn't do anything and he's not mad. Just the jealousy bone in him.
I texted that I'm glad he knows I did nothing and I wish I could do something.
I wish I could stop shaking though. I've never dated anyone who had this kind of jealousy issue before. And the thing is, I kind of have one with him, but I didn't when I met him. He cheated and so I have moments where I don't trust him...but he gave me reason to, you know? I'm not perfect, but I've never cheated on him, and I've taken him back several times after he's cheated or attempted to cheat on me...so you'd think that would earn me some slack or something. I guess I just have to accept that it's not rational and he seems to know that, which is good.
I'm gonna have my shake.

After the last entry I had my shake and rewatched the recent Weeping Angel episodes of Doctor Who...and I did enjoy them more the 2nd time. A lot of the problems I had with the episodes were bits that were explained that I missed the first time, which isn't that surprising with the amount of new information you're given here; these episodes feel like 4 episodes crammed into 2 installments...and that's one of the reasons they don't rate 4 stars, though there are many scenes that FEEL like a 4 star episode to me. There are just too many scenes that don't mesh or feel quite right...like the pace is fucked up. I orginally gave them 2 ** but I'm raising them to 3 *** and noting that they're nearly 4 **** but are dragged down a bit by some script problems. I had a similar reaction to 5x02 "The Beast Below", which often feels like a 3 *** episode...except it 1) talks down to the audience by explaining the twist ending TWICE for no apparent reason, making both the DOCTOR (!?!) and the audience come off as stupid and the writer coming off as patronizing. 2) There are plot holes galore! Most of them having more to do with the edit than the script, though there are 1 or 2 script problems also; my reaction to all 3 of these stories is that they could have been better but feel rushed; like they needed just a bit more attention to have blossomed, but instead we got these versions...which is a shame. Still, I'm enjoying the season quite a lot more now.
5 ***** = Excellent
4 **** = Above Average
3 *** = Average or Quite Good
2 ** = Almost There...But Not Quite
1 * = Crap5x01 The Eleventh Hour ****
Still the best episode of the season IMO. It feels epic yet small, and accomplishes a LOT but makes it look easy and natural.
5x02 The Beast Below **
The lovely 2nd story which could have been 3 or possibly 4 stars but is held back by script and edit problems. It's hard for me to express how much I actually like this story, yet the problems with it, that could have easily been fixed, just drag it down because they pull me out of the story. Which is too bad...yet it's not terrible.
5x03 Victory of the Daleks *
This is terrible. It's dull. The production design is often laughable. The Dalek ship interior just looks like a really cheap set. The one plot thread that has real potential is RUINED by a completely unbelievable solution that's just tacked onto the end that is just SOOOOO horrible that it ruins what could have been a 2 or 3 star outing if they'd JUST handled that one plot thread correctly. It still would have been mostly dull with cheap looking sets and a pointless return from an alien menace we've seen far too much of on Who but it would have had something interesting to contribute; instead we got this shit.
5x04 The Time of Angels [Part I] ***
5x05 Flesh and Stone [Part II] ***Very nearly 4 stars. These episodes often sparkle with brilliance, yet the pace feels so off and the story is all over the place, plus the 'changes' to the Weeping Angels while mostly explained in the episodes are mostly pointless and IMO make the villains less terrifying; not more. The River Song bits are probably the strongest, which pleases me.
5x06 The Vampires of Venice ***
Quite good. I don't think there are any script problems here. This isn't an episode that was nearly 4 or 5 stars; it is what it is, and for that it's the best scripted / edited episode since the season premiere; it only rates lower than that episode for having smaller goals and so there's less of a payoff. There is a sequence that the effects look sort of lame, but there are others that are the best of the season so far. These are the kinds of episodes Who usually produces...this is what I expect to get every week, while hoping for a 4 or 5 star episode. There have been no 5 star episodes this season.
5x07 Amy's Choice ***
Another quite good episode with nothing wrong with it, yet nothing great, minus an excellent twist that gives us some juicy insight into The Doctor & his companions. Some more fun effects work helps. And what I suspected might be a 2 ** episode comes out a ***. Nice.
5x08 The Hungry Earth [Part I] ***
Hard to rate a 2-Part story based on 1 part alone, but this is another episode that seems to have nothing wrong with it, though it's mostly set-up for things to come. What will Part II bring? It airs on Saturday.
After Who I slept. Woke up around 1:30pm feeling slighly off. Might have another shake with food this time and possibly some vitamins. For those reading my blog that don't know, my shakes are already packed with vitamins, but sometimes I feel the need for more.

I emptied the dishwasher and put dirty dishes in. I emptied the downstairs trash. I organized my photos on Facebook (deleting and combining several albums). I made my bed. I'm basically just trying to be productive before I have to eat and likely pass out from my meds. Mark & I may take some pictures later, and I'd like to see Michael tonight; I have a surprise for him.

Didn't end up taking pictures last night. Didn't end up seeing Michael, though we spoke on the phone. I felt ill. The meds did make me tired and I fell asleep watching Doctor Who. Slept until aroun midnight I think. I woke up still not feeling well and couldn't get back to sleep. I watched the new GLEE which was AWESOME. I uploaded about 200 pictures to Facebook. I got Mark to watch Glee. I read the news. I ate (without a pill) and kept it down, which was nice though my belly was still upset.
I'm exhausted from not feeling well and totally bummed that I didn't get to spend the night with Michael. I hope I get to see him today. He had invited me to go on a car trip with him today to run some errands, but I'm not sure my stomach will be ok, and even if it is I'll be so tired... Maybe I can get a nap in? Maybe I can sleep AFTER the car thing? I just want to see my boyfriend.

Wasn't feeling well most of Wednesday but still went to see Michael around 5pm. We played oral; both of us won. We didn't do much else. I had trouble sleeping but enjoyed the cuddles. I was having acid problems. I left about 20 minutes after he headed to work. I got home, ate, surfed the web and went to bed, waking up around 3pm with my eyes watering so much it was like I was crying; not sure what that was about.
There's some Doctor Who news. Episode 5x11 might not be called "The Lodger" anymore but "Don't Go Up The Stairs"; I'd grown attached to the previous title so I kind of hope this is wrong, but if it does change it's no big. Also, as more news is revealed about the finale, it's clear that episode 5x10 "Vincent and the Doctor" is directly related to the 2-part finale. I'm hopeful that the next 5 episodes will be good and possibly better than that, yet I long for this 'crack in time' arc to be over and done with. It's not that the arc is a bad idea...and I do want to know the answer to it...I just don't think it's been handled that well. I don't like the hit us over the head with it feeling of it. Yet it might prove to be ingenious??? I can hope.
And damn it if someone in the Who forum doesn't keep randomly revealing LOST spoilers. Bitch.

Watched a few episodes of Lost Thursday night. I'm not digging Season 6 the way I was Seasons 3-5...and I kind of feel that it's jumped the shark, but maybe I'll feel differently once I see the end? I'm finding myself annoyed by a lot that's happening and some of the plot twists that I don't think were very well thought out. Slept really well Friday morning / afternoon; had awesome dreams. Michael wanted some alone time but was nice to suggest he turn his cam to reassure me that he wasn't messing around on me. He went to bed. I went to Necto, which was mostly lame except I ran into some friends (Charles, Willfred, their friend Gary) that I hung out with for awhile. I also met 26yo Josh from GR (very briefly), saw Colton from Toledo (who I met through Jim Hood years before) and some lovely people on the street. A long walk (exercise!) and my night was complete.
Sadly my stomach was bothering me earlier, and may still be, but it felt good to get out and I'm glad I did.
I heard some stuff that I really wanted to share with Mollie but she's not answering her phone. :-0(

I'm still awake. I read a lot of old poetry. I'm in need of groceries; nearly out of everything. My stomach is still pestering me, but I'm hanging in there. I watched some classic Graham Norton on youtube which made me laugh a lot. I can hardly keep my eyes open at this point.
New Doctor Who today: 5x09 Cold Blood [Part II]. Hope it's good.
Hope I get to see Michael today.

On Saturday, I slept from 10am - 3pm. Mark dropped me off at Michael's on his way to his Dad's to visit with his family. Michael & I went to Little Caesars and Whole Foods. Much fun and conversation was had; I laughed a lot. Michael got his test results back: HIV Negative. We had some great sex, though the oral left my jaw aching and in need of my muscle relaxers. I slept a lot. Michael headed to work today and Mark picked me up, but I forgot some groceries at Michael's so Mark took me to Kroger. I watched the new Doctor Who 5x09 "Cold Blood" [Part II], which was ok, and I probably would have enjoyed a LOT more if it hadn't been spoiled for me ages ago. I don't know a LOT about the next few installments, though I probably know far more than I should. I'm trying to avoid spoilers now that I'm enjoying the season more; these last two episodes felt very much like Classic Who except with far better special effects. I am seeking spoilers for Sarah Jane episodes as they aren't airing until Fall and I need information about them to see how they fit together. After Who I slept some more. I woke up, checked my mail, did the FarmTown thing (buying a 4th farm) and had a snack.
Here's a 'Monster Files' installment on the most recent Who villains. Don't watch it until you've seen the most recent installments, but it covers all 4 of their Whoniverse appeareances. ;-0)

Managed to get a bit of cleaning done today; tons of laundry; also did the dishes. Slept well today. Did the farm thing. I was planning on going to Necto tonight, and I feel fine, but I think I'm gonna stay in and finish the laundry and read. That's the plan.
I miss Michael. We spoke on the phone briefly. I jacked off thinking about him earlier. I might go see him tomorrow. He's always talking about how he'd like to come home and find me there, so I might try to arrange that. It will be great to see him, plus I left some stuff there. ;-0)
Mark offered to get me food tonight. I thanked him, but turned him down as I was cleaning and had my plans in place. I still might go to Necto if I'm up and bored later, but this is seeming less and less likely now. I'm so rarely in a mood to clean, and I'm enjoying getting stuff done. This might be the end of that though because I have to eat now and my pills will surely slow me down.
